Great location near the airport with shuttle bus.
Lacking some room amenities. Thin, "hear-through" walls. Not near much else.
Selected this hotel b/c of 6 AM next morning flight. Upon arrival the hotel looks very good. I did not try any food while there but the spread looked very good. After getting settled, noticed a couple things. The bathroom had only one small soap. No shampoo, etc. Limited towel selection. The walls are pretty thin and could hear light switches, etc. from next room. The hotel is not near anything (malls, etc.). There are some food places outside (short walk) if you need to avoid the high hotel prices. No money exchange except at hotel which had poorer rates than most of the rest of Singa. [I am forced to rate food. I did not eat any hotel food so my rating on that topic is valueless.]
Shopping Tip : If you're arriving to stay this hotel, get SG money at airport. It's about S$15 taxi ride each way (and 20 minutes).

Close to Changi Airport and Changi Village
The hotel rooms are looking sad even though it went through a redevelopment a few years ago.
We had stayed at Changi quite a few times in the past as we like Changi Village and it is close to the airport when we are only in Singapore for 1 night. However we won't be going back. I had requested a king bed room (which I always did in the past and had no troubles), we were given a twin room and told we would have to pay more for a king. After quite a bit of discussion we were finally given a king room at no extra cost. We were put right across from the lifts even though we arrived early and it was a very noisy night as there was a marathon happening at midenight and people were using the hotel as their take off point. When we asked for a taxi at 0700 to go to the airport we were told this was not possible as the marathon was still going and we should have booked one the previous night. This would have happened if the hotel staff (who knew we were flying out early) had bothered to tell us. Consequently we had to hire a limo at a cost 0f $30 instead of $10 for a taxi. The rooms themselves are looking sad espoecially the bathrooms and you do not get any complimentary toiletries. We will not be staying here again.
Travel tip : Changi Village is worth a visit at night time.

Pleasently suprised by the interior of the place. Very trendy and nice. Feels like a high class hotel. Staff are very well trained and special thanks to the front desk agent yap. Highly recommended!

Room nice, spacious and tidy. Breakfast was excellent and very cheap. Staff were very helpful and polite. The shuttle bus to the airport was very good. Pity we did not know that the bus was waiting for us on our arrival - it would have saved us a taxi fare. Very handy to cheap food hall/restaurants next door and Saturday market.
Is a bit isolated from city. Internet was very expensive in price and timing. Beverages were very expensive.
We would recommend the Changi Village Hotel to our friends as being very friendly and convenient to all sorts of shopping, food outlets and entertainment. We did not find out until our last day, about the river cruise departure which is across the road that goes to Malaysia and a Singapore Island. The shuttle bus is a convenient method of travelling as it takes you to the airport/rail system which is brilliant. Sentosa Island is also a "must visit" day trip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Boat cruise with departure across the road and Sentosa Island.

The hotel has just been renovated, its condition is great. We love the modern style of the hotel.
Too faraway from the city. Transport is expensive.
Overall we are satisfied with the hotel. But when we arrived at the hotel lobby, there was no concierge man to help us with our luggage. The hotel appears luxury especially in the lobby area. Tooth brush and tooth paste are not spontaneously provided, you have to ask for them.

Good value for money... rooms spacious and modern, quite stylish.
Quiet
Location.. great for getting away
Indifferent staff
Pool needs cleaning
Location...if you don't want to get away then it's too far from anything
Pleasantly surprised: rates are much cheaper than comparable rooms closer to town. It's a great hotel if you are Singaportean and just want to get away. Changi Village is pleasant and doesn't feel like Singapore.. yet it has all amenities and great food. And there's Pulau Ubin just a short ferry service away. Just don't expect the hotel staff to know or care anything about this service, even though the ferry terminal is 3 mins walk away.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Ferries at weekends to Pulau Ubin run every few minutes.. as soon as there are 12 people (the max allowed) ready to board. But noone at the hotel can tell you this. It's well worth the trip and cycling round this unspoilt island was a glimpse into Singapore's past and thoroughly enjoyable

The bathroom has a glass panel looking into the room. The area has a night market on certain days of the week and lots of places to eat. There is a bus to Changi airport that leaves every hour around the clock.
The room smelt of cigarettes and the furniture in the room looked old.
This is a nice hotel in Change Village that is ideal for those on transit in Singapore or with an early morning flight to catch. It is located about fifteen to twenty minutes by car and is not within walking distance. There is a hotel bus that leaves hourly to and from Change Airport. The night I arrived, there was a night market close by and I had a good time looking at the wares on sale. Recommended for those who want to experience a typical Asian night market.

The hotel is very clean and modern. I like the Japanese restaurant in the hotel.
Disappointed of the compliments in the room especially the bathroom stuff.
The hotel is located away from the City Centre and 15mins from the airport. The room is quite neat and tidy. The hotel is good for one night stay or if you're looking for tranquility time; I recommend it. If you are bored you can go for a walk to the beach which is about 5 mins from the hotel.

Location to the beach and park. Free courtesy bus to airport.
Noisy around the atrium area at night. Design of hotel means the noise travels up to the bedrooms. Avoid rooms around the atrium. Lacks signage from rooms back to reception.
Unfortunately did not have a good experience at this hotel. On a positive note the hotel is handy for the airport and as I was only on a stopover the courtesy bus was a bonus and very punctual. The hotel is in a quiet residential area with the beach across the road and a very good restaurant in the park area over looking south china.

- The hourly free shuttle service to & from Changi airport
- The modern design of the hotel (excl. the interior)
- The interior of the room could be better managed (ie not smelly)
We selected this hotel because the airport hotels were not available & we didn't wanna stay far from Changi airport since we only have 5 hours of stay before our next flight.
This is a suitable choice, the price could've been lower but overall a good one.
Restaurant Tip : If you check-in late to the hotel (around 10 pm), don't worry bout being hungry. Just get out from the hotel, turn right, and walk few minutes, and you'll find food hawkers still open there.

rooms are fresh large bath and nice pool!
lack of tv cable channels, high wifi fees, far from city
overall worth the money with the staff making a good effort to keep you happy
should have wifi at reasonable prices and was difficult to find the shuttle bus from the airport
the pool overlooking the harbour was relaxing and it was very quiet and family type hotel/area

- The hotel was newly renovated. It was clean and made a good impression. - The hotel was cheaper than others with less stars. - The service was good. The personel answered friendly and patiently to my questions and I didn't encounter any problems. - They have their own shuttle service to the airport or to the city and it is free. - The hotel is located in a very interesting part of the city. There are many shops and restaurants, the environment is nice and the public transportation in this area is also good. - It is quite close to the airport.
- There where almost no free supplies in the bathroom. - The hotel is not located in the center of the city. - The TV in the room was old and didn't work perfectly.
The Changi Village - A Far East Hotel is the only hotel in Changi Village and therefore very easy to find. Even though for a 4 Star hotel they have remarkably few supplies in the bathroom, it's a very nice and clean hotel. The staff is friendly and eager to help and their shuttle service is very useful. Maybe I didn't get the best experience, because I did just stay for one night (the mini bar was empty for example), but all in all I was very happy.
Restaurant Tip : The hotel is located in some kind of touristic area. It is a nice place with many different restaurants. Some of them seem to be very famous. I'm sure it is easy to find the kind of food, which is suitable for everyone.

Cozy layout and the fact that the hotel is at the far end of Singapore. Quiet and quaint environment.
Exterior of the hotel looks like they need some furnishing.
We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Just a quiet couple time. The weather did us well the day we checked in and we managed to go for a swim and use the jaccuzi. Food was very readily available at the Changi Village Hawker center, with great food there! Though we did not eat there, buying back to the room was nice.
