The location is good, close to Clark Quay and not too far from the shopping malls of Orchard Road. However the rooms are small and rather tired. A refurb wouldn't go amiss. The service was just ok. Probably will look for something a bit better next time especially if I'm with my better half.

away from the noise of the city The hotel is situated close to the riverside where there are lots of hip dining places.
it is in a location where there is not much noise from the traffic & the lush greenerey around the hotel calms the spirit.
The rooms are comfortable & quite spacious.
The staff, however, need to be more friendly & approachable. They were not knowledgable on the various attractions in singapore.

Simple hotel. Toiletries provided. Swimming pool, sauna and steambath area small but clean. Room and bathtub quite small. No kettle for making hot beverage. Check in took me a little longer than normal hotel. Breakfast not provided. TV old. Car park is limited because people from outside dine in the restaurant. Only thing i really dislike about the hotel is you have to walk pass the restaurant to get to the elevator. and the guests are eating buffet along the passage so i have to drag my luggage with difficulty. So noisy and congested.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is not that near to clarke quay actually.

Very Clean, great location. Air Conditioner wasn't the Greatest, Didn't have CNBC on cable. Very Nice Hotel in the Heart of Singapore, Great access to the CBD and Orchard Road. The Hotel Was clean and had a nice balcony. I recomend getting the complementry pillow top brought to your room. It make all the difference in the world for a great nights sleep. I will stay at this Hotel again next time I am in Singapore.

Good location. Staff friendly Put all single travellers in poor rooms, even that I had booked as 2 prople. When booking in I asked for a double bed and told none available, yet booked for 3 days! A good location in a pleasant area. You can walk to China town and Clarke Key. However discriminate against the single booking. Everyone I saw on my floor was on there own. Bar in the evening was ok.The food was good with a good choice. Pool area good as most of the day was in the sun.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of choice at Clark Key

It was in the middle of the city. You could walk the the city.close to night life smorgasboard needs to improve. foyer to busy and loud. No where to relax in the hotel You are in the middle of the city which is great. The hotel is very busy and loud at night and there is no quiet area to relax. The food needs to improve. The night life is just around the corner. Has two ares with live bands which is great if you are into that. Did to much shopping to enjoy the night life at the hotel.

lovely end rooms on the tower wing,
very helpful staff,
well provided room. never actually found the pool - wrong lifts?
bar prices pretty high,
food expensive. We arrived at about 10pm and were hoping we got our double room only to be told the only one available was two singles. If we waited half an hour (they must work 24/7) a double would be available with a bigger area. We had some food and filled in time and then got to our room, an end room on the tower floors. Very spacious bathroom with shower over bath and plenty of space. For a 9 day stay this was great and the room was clean and well presented. Would definitely stay there again as taxis to anywhere were between $5 and $9.
Hotel Feature Tip : Free shuttle up to Orchard Rd then walk everywhere else or grab a short taxi ride for about $3 or $4.

as far as i am concern the hotel was well maintained but the services were poor compare to other hotels therefore hotel need to be on alert on the service for me this hotel is very far from the main city and there were no shopping places close by but the room was well maintained but the room size is very small compare to other hotel, one advantage i would say his if you want to stay away from city this is the best hotel

Maybe a little distance from Orchard Road About $4 dollars in a cab to the central tourist area This was a nice hotel, clean comfortable and well run. We stayed a few nights on our way to The UK, mainly to break our journey so the hotel served this purpose well. We appreciated the location as it was quiet and away from the hub.The staff were helpful and professionalat all times. On Singapore"s metro it is easy to get around for sightseeing and shopping, lots of lovely shops and eateries!

Nice friendly staff that were willing to help out on all issues. Close to China Town which is a plus!! Great value for the cost in Singapore. You must pay for the internet, which as a business traveler is a big drawback. Pool closes early and so does the bar. I would probably stay here again on my next trip to Singapore since my business was in this part of town. The hotel is near China Town and within a five or six dollar cab ride to Clarke Quay which is where most of the nice restaurants are. It is centrally located to many great areas of town. Things in the hotel are relatively expensive compared to out in town. Upon check in I needed a power adapter which in all other hotels is just a phone call away, but here the told me you need to purchase one in the gift shop, which I thought was an added inconvinience since now I have something I wont need ever again. All in all a nice place that is affordable and centrally located. I would rate it as an A-!!
Restaurant Tip : There is a nice restaurant in China Town called Yum Cha that serves some excellent Peking duck (very affordable). It is near the night market!

if you can afford the deluxe rooms, then i would say, spend a little more, to be truly comfortable. rooms are very small, air condition was not effecient, and the buffet could have been better. this hotel was okay, it fell to meet my expectation, been that it was a four star. would not recommend this hotel for the budget vacationer.

Free upgrade, nice view, clean The room card easy to get dis-magnefied. If you put the card near by credit card or mobile phone, you will have to get your room card fix everytime you go back into the room. There were only one sets of towel/toiletries even we told them there are two of us staying, the room were not ready till after 3pm. We were on our way to Maldives and stop by at Singapore for 2 nights. As we are on our honeymoon, they gave a free upgrade. I would expect a big nicer/bigger room, but the room does not look like it has been upgraded. As we were told that it is, i can't imagine how good the original one can be. It is very far from the train station (at least 25 minutes walk). Taxi is the major transport or there are hotel bus to shopping mall which only have couple of those and can rarely be able to catch. Other than that, if you are looking for a place clean and quiet to stay and do not mine for taking taxi, this is overall a reasonable hotel for the price of it.

Drinks and dining very expensive, rooms very small and in need of decoration, beds where very hard and uncomfortable Overall we only stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, on reflection I am glad we didn't stay any longer, the hotel looked OK on the outside and staff where very helpful, the reception was quite nice but sorry to say the room allocated was very small, the bathroom didn't quite look clean, the bed was so hard and my wife and I just could not sleep properly, we booked a double bed but on arrival they where very busy and gave us a family room, this just meant they had put another single bed in what was already a very small room, I contacted the reception and at first they said they could not move us because they where full, however when I really pushed they somehow found me the original room I had requested and where able to find a mattress that was more comfortable, I have stayed in many hotels around the world but have never felt the need to write a review however on this occasion I have made an exception, would I stay here again sorry don't think so
Shopping Tip : Not far from the main shopping areas, lots to see please do go and look at the Mustafa Centre it is huge

new and clean room, quiet and cold aircond, nice location, clean pool, very cozy hotel. the standard room we stay is very small. We like this hotel very much, althought the room is a bit too small for us(standard room), for we are carrying an 18 months baby, and they only provide queen size bed. The room is new and clean. The aircond is cold and quiet. The swimming pool is small, but very clean and nice. We enjoy staying here. The location is quite nice too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : we walk along the Singapore river, found a lot of nice cafe and restaurant by the river, there is a shopping centre near Clark Quay call "Liang's court", there is a Japanese supermarket at the basement.
