The hotel was nice in general, the rooms were smart, nicely decorated and felt luxurious. The only thing about our room (a standard room) was that it really did feel small for the amount of money we had paid. The bathroom didnt even fit a full sized bath in. However the overall feel of the room did make up for it in parts. I would suggest paying slightly more for a slightly larger room. The location was good, however was a slight walk to Clarke Quay, about 5 minutes. The free shuttle to Orchard Rd and other areas was useful and the staff were all very helpful. In general it was a really nice place.
Rooms were luxurious, nicely decorated, and the bathrooms were well stocked, laid out etc.
Good service, nice changing area to change in before flights etc, if have to check out earlier in the day.
The room was really small...it looked a lot bigger in the pictures.
- Restaurant Tip : Clarke Quay near by has a lot of different restaurants and bars with loads of different options and was a really nice evening location.
Comfortable hotel.

The room and public areas were clean. There were few restaurants nearby. If you want to try Singaporean food, you had better eat outside. In the hotel, buffet-style restaurant is almost the only restaurant where you can enjoy Singaporean food. The shuttle bus to downtown does not run so often. It may be suitable for business travelers, but not the best location for tourists
The room was clean.
It is located a little bit far from the downtown.

Breakfast was pretty limited, despite their claim to have won awards for it in 2005.
- Restaurant Tip : Get out of the hotel and eat at a hawker centre. Tiong Bahru hawker centre is very popular and minutes from the hotel (get a taxi though as it's always HOT in Singapore and they're very cheap).

Good location for business travellers.
- Restaurant Tip : If you're a foreign business traveller and not sure what to take from the local Singaporean buffet dinner, the Maitre' d is very helpful!

This is a very busy hotel, fully booked and turning people away when we were there. They managed to give us connecting rooms though which we appreciated. Location is maybe not the most central but Singapore is so small and easy to get around that it's still only a short cab ride anywhere.
