Very neat & clean, & very good service at the reception.

Nothing. (Some food/dining facility could have been better.)

I was very reluctant before checking in at this hotel because all the reviews mentioned that it is in the red light area. But, absolutely no problem. Things have changed now completely. I stayed here for 5 days from 10th July 2009. Hotel staff were very kind. Room was well maintained. Rooms are small but u won't complaint if u had stayed at some other hotel in Sinagapore, at this cost. Bus stop is very close by, and the metro stations too. I will stay here again & recommend to all.

the room is clean, shower ok, AC, normal,receptionist friendly,

superior room too small, wifi internet at room too expensive S$5 / 2 hour, TV cable only 5-7 channel

it's pretty good if you're looking budget hotel near geylang, especially th nearest one to the MRT Station (Kallang)..only 5 minutes walk

Nightlife Tip : there are lot of nightlifes activities at this area

- clean & nice room - affordable price - about 10/15 minutes walk from Kallang MRT Station

- small room (enough for couple, not for family)

travel with my wife, we spend four nights there. The room is nice enough for us. i like it because it's clean, the furniture is okay lar, not a lux room but it's more than fair for the price we paid. although we read geylang is red district area, we don't find things that disturbing there, just like the normal area. location is not far from Kallang MRT Station, just about 10 or 15 minutes walking. easy to find foods, just walk outside the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : - just walk out from the hotel, u can find a lot of food stalls (kopitiam). - nearest MRT station is Kallang.

Cheap.

Small room.

The hotel is easily accessible by MRT and is not difficult to find. The room is small, but for its price, you can't complain. Although it was mentioned in the room description that a bath-tub would be provided, there was only a shower head in the small toilet. However, it is still satisfactory as hot water for shower is still provided as promised.

Nightlife Tip : Being located in a red-light district, the hotel is close to the busy and vibrant Geylang streets. It may be unsuitable for a family stay, but for backpackers, solo travellers or even couples, Geylang indeed presents a more interesting side of Singapore. Walk along the streets of Geylang at night and check out the durian stalls and the famous 24 hrs bean curd stall.

The hotel is located at the suitable area, with just walk around 10min to the MRT EW10 Kallang station's. Bus stop also located near at the hotel. The hotel charge rate also is the standard and fare price. Room is provided internet Wifi wireless service (need to pay) and lobby provided 2 units of Personal Computer for internet service (15min = S$1). Then, the hotel staff is nice, helpful & friendly. Service form the staff is good.

Restaurant Tip : Food is good.

-Nearly MRT Station -Good price for budget travellers. -Can leave travel bag after check out.

-Small -No foot towel in bathroom

I had 3 days stay at this hotel and the experience from the moment walking to the hotel because I forgot to find a map before go to this hotel. It's take time and make me so tired when I arrived. It's a good place ,nearly MRT Station but despite the location being nearby red-light district and make me a little worried of security. The room is small but reasonable ,quiet and relatively spacious but bathroom is dirty and need foot towel. I will stay in this hotel again next time I visit Singapore. I would highly recommend this hotel to budget travellers.

Good location for food and unique entertainment.

Not the best the hotel i've been in...a little seedy perhaps.

The Fragrance hotel was a decent value for the money, considering I was in Singapore. However, I knew what part of town I was staying in, but some unsuspecting person or couple may definitely take issue with its some what seedy location. However, the location is excellent for many excellent local cuisines.

I would stay in this hotel again. For short stays, the services were adequate. The hotel represents good value for money, how-ever, I would prefer to pay a little more to have slightly more space around the bed and also to have the option of having breakfast at the hotel. The staff were very helpful with advice on where and how to get a taxi easily without paying a booking fee. I would reccomend the hotel to friends, but they would need to consider the review I would give to them.

friendliness and helpfullness of the staff, rooms and fixtures modern and clean, proximity to the MRT which made getting around easier and cheap, the low room rate, the complimentary coffee-making facilities, good aircon, overall excellent value for money.

no shower curtain which meant that when you took a shower, you ended up wetting the whole bathroom, the thin blanket, lack of room safe or a safe at the reception. The rooms could be better cleaned though.

I was surprisingly pleased with the rooms we were given and with the location of the hotel. The rooms were not as small as i had expected after reading the other reviews. A plus was that there was no carpeting as my children are allergic to dust and mold. The hotel is on a quiet street, far enough from the active part of the red light district of Geylang so that you do not feel it. Many families use this hotel. The staff are to be commended for their friendliness and efficiency. I will have no hesitation using this hotel for future family visits.

Well maintained, very neat, clean and comfort. 10 min walk to train station, convenient location

Everything self-service (including if you request for an ironing board!). Other than that, everything seems fine.

I had a 5 day stay at this hotel and I was taken by surprise the quality of this hotel, despite it being nearby red-light district and budget category. The experience from the moment walking into the hotel, the reception, the feel, the lift, the corridor to the room and inside the room was highly positive. Everything is well maintained and tip-top condition, including furniture, walls and flooring. The room and washroom are relatively spacious (compared to other budget hotel). There is even a wardrobe to hang some clothes. In-room wireless internet is available. Else, internet access is available at the lobby. Despite the location being next to red-light district. I felt nothing of it. The place is calm, peaceful and quiet. Shops and food are just a stone throw away. MRT station is only a 10 min walk. I will stay in this hotel again next time i visit Singapore. I would highly recommend this hotel to budget travellers and even small family.

Restaurant Tip : For those who like steam-boat, there are plenty to offer just across the road (opposite the petrol station).

good location, near to metro and eating places. near nightlife if you like that kind of thing.

hotel room is a bit small. beds have rollers so they move around a lot. can't find lock.

its a fun place if you are travelling around singapore. No for those with children or family. its a good place to start exploring the place. they have nice restaurants around within a few meters. one dimsum shop just on the next road serves excellent dishes. people can be seen walking around till 3 am. No problem with security when we went there. nice location.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

Shower head has leakage.

Comfortable and clean for a budget hotel with friendly and helpful staffs too. Location is good and quiet though it is in Geylang Red Light District area which is bustling with lots of people hanging around. Very convenient for food and entertainment for there are so many restaurants serving a wide variety of food. There are also lots of bar and Karaoke lounges. However it not so suitable for family holiday accomodation. Very near to city center by taxi about 10 minutes.

Clean & quiet,good shower,cheap for Singapore

No fridge in room

Easily accessed from airport,friendly efficient reception staff this is good value for a basic room in an interesting location.There are eating places on every corner of all kinds & the area feels safe.I was advised not to buy a sim card as it would be too expensive for my 1 day stay by the seller--good value shopping too.The Hotel borders a red light district but no-one bothers you unduly.

Lorong 6 is start the road of Gaylang. you can walk till the end of Gaylang and have MRT Gayland and Aljunies across.

Floor is not clean. Easy slip in toilet and room floor.

Good for backpacker needs for convenience than junk hotel. room is very OK. for 1 night It's not terrible like people talk. Almost storey have CCTV in pathway to room. but please beware for outside hotel.

Nightlife Tip : Around this hotel is a lots of Drink Drank Drunk but please play safe!! more Dangerous!!
