Well maintained, very neat, clean and comfort. 10 min walk to train station, convenient location Everything self-service (including if you request for an ironing board!). Other than that, everything seems fine. I had a 5 day stay at this hotel and I was taken by surprise the quality of this hotel, despite it being nearby red-light district and budget category.
The experience from the moment walking into the hotel, the reception, the feel, the lift, the corridor to the room and inside the room was highly positive.
Everything is well maintained and tip-top condition, including furniture, walls and flooring. The room and washroom are relatively spacious (compared to other budget hotel). There is even a wardrobe to hang some clothes.
In-room wireless internet is available. Else, internet access is available at the lobby.
Despite the location being next to red-light district. I felt nothing of it. The place is calm, peaceful and quiet.
Shops and food are just a stone throw away. MRT station is only a 10 min walk.
I will stay in this hotel again next time i visit Singapore. I would highly recommend this hotel to budget travellers and even small family.
Restaurant Tip : For those who like steam-boat, there are plenty to offer just across the road (opposite the petrol station).

Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Comfortable and clean for a budget hotel with friendly and helpful staffs too. Location is good and quiet though it is in Geylang Red Light District area which is bustling with lots of people hanging around. Very convenient for food and entertainment for there are so many restaurants serving a wide variety of food. There are also lots of bar and Karaoke lounges. However it not so suitable for family holiday accomodation. Very near to city center by taxi about 10 minutes.

Clean & quiet,good shower,cheap for Singapore Easily accessed from airport,friendly efficient reception staff this is good value for a basic room in an interesting location.There are eating places on every corner of all kinds & the area feels safe.I was advised not to buy a sim card as it would be too expensive for my 1 day stay by the seller--good value shopping too.The Hotel borders a red light district but no-one bothers you unduly.

Lorong 6 is start the road of Gaylang.
you can walk till the end of Gaylang and have MRT Gayland and Aljunies across. Floor is not clean. Easy slip in toilet and room floor. Good for backpacker needs for convenience than junk hotel.
room is very OK. for 1 night
It's not terrible like people talk.
Almost storey have CCTV in pathway to room.
but please beware for outside hotel.
Nightlife Tip : Around this hotel is a lots of Drink Drank Drunk
but please play safe!!

i think it's so nice hotel,can walk to MRT Kallang 10mins i think it's so nice hotel,employer at front have a friendly and this hotel near MRT can walk to MRT Kallang 10 mins.
room very small but it okay coz air condition very strong,so cool if look like very old
Restaurant Tip : about food i think at makwell food court have many shop about 100 shops and not expensive

near food shop and market There is not a partition between bath room and toilet so get all wet when bathing Acceptable and reasonable price. It may a good choice for one person only go to Singapore. Although it near Kallang (red area in Singapore), but the safety is not the problem and no one will distrbuite you provide that you don't touch them. There is so many food shop around the hotel and you don't need spend so much time to find the foodshop. Actually, Singapore is very small, the travelling time from hotel to Central or anywhere is only less than 1 hour by MRT! The most important is this hotel is not a hourly hotel!
Nightlife Tip : too exciting if you want sexy.....

Hotel was in a good location, very clean and the staff were pleasant. Only drawback was that it was very noisy, we were next to the lift so we could hear people coming and going, and ourside there were roadworks early in the morning. Another drawback was that we could not open the window in the bedroom

Poor TV in my room, maybe TVs in other rooms are fine. It is a bit hard to find the hotel. Actually the sign for the hotel is huge. I couldn't relate the sign to the hotel I was looking for because the translation is so weird. I am a Chinese and I can read Chinese. The sign says "Fei Long", which means "Flying Dragon", while in English the hotel is named Emerald. I can't correlate Emerald with Flying Dragon.

Clean rooms, working airco and helpfull staff. Plastic covers over the matresses should be removed, this does not sleep very nice. It is a nice hotel in the red light district, although you won't notice this except for the plastic matress covers. The staff is friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the MRT (about 10 minutes). The rooms are small but functional and the shower is nice and warm. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants in the neighbourhood.

convenient location, front desk staff friendy location may be suited to everybody - edge of red light district the Fragrance Emerald Hotel is nice, clean and in a convenient location. ask for a higher floor room, lower floor may be used for shorter time customer. MRT is about 10 min walking, lots of taxi passing main road. safety box at front desk, not in room. good hotel for the cost; location may be suited to everybody - edge of red light district but it feels safe though.

Staff service. I stayed here during 15-17 th May. What I love most about the hotel is the price that is very cheap and reasonable when comparing with other hotels with the same standard. The location is another good point because it's just 10 minutes walk from the hotel to MRT-Kallang station (EW10). Also, the staff is nice and polite. Eventhough the room is small, it's quite clean. Moreover, the bathroom provides hot and cold water with strong flow. So if I have a chance to visit Singapore, I will never miss to stay here .
Shopping Tip : From the hotel, you just walk about 10 minutes to MRT station (EW10) where you can take the MRT to Orchard Road-the paradise for shoppers that takes about 5-7 minuts to get there. So It's very convenient.

Friendly staff, clean,MRT quite near, food corner just net to it, easy to catch a bus Sound isolation is quite poor, I stayed in this same hotel in February and I liked it. It is quite cheap but worth of the money. Area was quite restless earlier but not that often as 4 months ago. Police has done their job and cleaned the area quite a lot.
Nice medium size hotel. Affordable for longer staying.

Lower price than others in singapore. There is no mini-fridge in room.(@lowest price) It's the proper price for bag-pack tourists who have 2 or more in the group 'cause by compare to dorm I think it is the best option to be choosed. This hotel is not far from the MRT-Station(EW10-Kallang).You can get there by walk within 10-15 minits. The room have the things that you can accept by its price. if you're the tourist who want to travel all along the day, you'll find that the price is suit for you (travel on the early day and come back on late evening to hotel for take a rest and get sleep). The lowest price give you two cup of coffee, a hair-dryer, heater in bathroom, a television and air-condition.
Hotel Feature Tip : @the mrt-station(EW10-Kallang) I have breakfast at OLD CHANG KEE everyday. It give me delicious meal with low price and there are many menu that you can choose it by yourself. It price 1-1.5 $ per piece.

Good price for hotel in singapore small room but I just need a bed and a shower we stay 2 nights at this hotel. it's a budget hotel so it has small rooms, minimal services and no breakfast. wireless internet connection is there in the lobby with good connectivity or you can buy a prepaid internet card for your laptop in your room. the mrt/subway terminal is within 10-15 min. walking but if you prefer taxi there's plenty in the area. night life is very lively! the hotel area just at the outer line of ex red district but the area is safe. we walked at midnight having no difficulties at all.
