our room was a double, and yes, it is was very small, bed was clean and comfortable, but found pillow very high and hard. bathroom tiny - when you had a shower you washed everything in site. bathroom door open back into the main room which was a pain, but there was no way it could have go the otherway. great location, on bus route, near kallang mrt station and easy walking distance to orchard road and lots of other places. reception staff were friendly and helpful. value for money in singapore. we were in singapore to see and do things, not to sit in our room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to this hotel by MRT (stop at Kallang then go by bus 2)

What we expect from the picture and the reality is quite different. We don't recommend this hotel for honeymooners, but if you plan just for spend the night maybe this hotel for u. This hotel placed in Geylang which is known as "Red Light District".

Hotel staff at the reception area very friendly.
I stayed in Fragrance Hotel Emerald with my brother last February 2012 and the room was okay when it comes to room size.I came back last Oct 2012 with my father and sister but it seems like the room size was the same and squeeze in 2 queen bed and 1 single bed, making the room small for 3 adult.
