I would not recommend this hotel--there were no redeemiing features. The room was very shabby and small with no windows, poor electric lighting making reading impossible. First, the management was indifferent to my complaints about lack of cleanliness, poor quality towels and the unsatisfactory small room. The area was unkempt and too far from downtown Singapore. There were no good restaurants or any scenic areas within walking distance. It was impossible to obtain helpful information or directions from the staff. I handled my own baggage and even had to flag a taxi to leave.
Hotel Feature Tip : Although the rate is cheap I could not recommend
this hotel. I fail to see how it would meet any criteria for acceptable hotels. It was the worst
hotel I've stayed in Asia.

able to see heritage architectures along Joo Chiat. Colorful town with more Malays inhabitants. A good location with many convenient public transportation from Changi Apt. to Joo Chiat. Located in a more Malay predominant area, and great variety of food.
Restaurant Tip : a lot of Chinese, Malay and Peranakan food along Joo Chiat.

Clean rooms, economic, close to Malai Village, with calm and quiet surroundings. Far from the city, 20-25 minutes walk from nearest MRT. Small rooms and no internet. If you want a budget room just for sleeping this is a good place. You can go downtown early in the morning and come back in the night for sleeping. It is a bit far from all the city action and you may have to pay a heavy taxi fare to reach there. MRT is at least 20 - 25 minutes walk. But you can catch a bus if you wait for it to come.
The surroundings are far away from all the city noise and pretty good for an evening stroll. There are many food and beer joints nearby.
The Malai village is close by.
No internet connection was available.
Rooms are provided with towels, liquid soap, cookies to eat and water to drink.

The area is great and the hotel amenities are good but the room definitely needs to be prepared before arrival!

While strolling around the local area may be romantic, it might be not a good idea as there are a number of old men and their escorts in the local area. You might want to buy your midnight snack early if you dont want to feel awkward, For girls, however, avoid wearing skimpy outfits at night time. I hope they will soon install broadband service and Wifi in the hotel. Adding a microwave oven in the common area will be great too.

I have dissatisfaction with your website.
I booked this hotel because your Japanese website says "each room has broadband", but I found it is incorrect information. So finally I asked to hotel officer to change other hotel (same hotel group) with paying additional charge.
I request you to check more carefully in each hotel, and share correct information to us.

Food was available outside, but nothing offered at the hotel. Probably wouldn't stay there again on a business trip, but if was going on my own it was a nice budget way to see Singapore.

Close to a lot of restaurants.
Good value for money.
Friendly staff.
Walking distance to the train station.
I stayed here in September of 2007 for a week. The hotel is not as bad as I thought. The room where I stayed at is relatively small compared to other hotels in SIN. However, the cleanliness is quite superb. I would come back and stay at this hotel again.

Only good for travelers going for nightlife. Check-in only after 4pm. Staffs very rude. This is a hotel, but cannot say hotel because there is no actual facilities in the hotel other than room to use. The hotel is only for the backpackers who is searching for the nightlife only. And the hotels check-in time, they said is 1600hrs. Because in this area people sleeps daytime. Cannot recommend for groups with children.
Nightlife Tip : Nightlife is at your doorstep.
