Location of hotel good hotel was nice friendly staff, room was clean but small and no window but for one night and tis price it is no problem
Actually no real negative points
This was only one night in this hotel and I arrived late and depature early so I only eat some in the neighbourhood and slept. It is depending what you want for long stay this hotel is not real suitable but with low budget and a short stay it is perfect. Overall I liked this hotel.

clean room
friendly staff
The fragrance hotel in joo chiat is a nice place to stay specially if you want to stay to a cheaper place away from the red district here in Singapore. The staffs are all friendly.
They are very accommodating specially when we extend our stays in the hotel.
The location is good, since it is near to the airport and only takes a few minutes to go to the city.
You can also take the bus going to the nearest MRT station.
Although the hotel does not provide food, hawkers are just near and food are a lot cheaper.
All in all I can say that this hotel is worth staying.

Located @ a very convenient location
It was convinient located in the heart of restaurants and shopping centres. A fews mins drive will be city skyline and walkways. The room was well renovated and arranged. It's really value for money and we are sure in the near future, we will come back again.

Area of local restaurants
cockroaches in the room, very small room with no windows, no shower box in the bathroom
We have gotten a very small room with no windows. The bathroom was OK except that there was no shower box so whenever you shower there is water everywhere (don't know whether it's common in SE Asia). We also killed one cockroaches in the room although it didn't look that there should be some. Overall, I have doubts whether it was worthy since the location was not very close to the center. But there were some local restaurants around the hotel which was nice.

The room size is OK. Room is also clean and quiet.
The environment is getting worse. No cable TV, no free wireless.
Considering the price, this hotel is OK. The service actually is none. I forgot to pay the money while expiring, then they did not even clean the room. I think they got a lot of space to improve their service. I was waked up by the loud music on corridor at 2 am which was coming out from the loudspeaker. I think it's just a stupid mistake they made. Anyway, I'm considering choosing some other hotel next time.

Receptionists were professional, helpful and let us stay the second night in a superior room, all though we by mistake had paid for one night in a standard room. Did not pay for phone service over the counter when my cell didn`t work.
Beds are hard - as mentioned by another guest. Amazingly little noise from the streets.
The hotel would probably benefit from serving a simple breakfast. CNN and/or other channels would be nice.
Food/dining at 1 point - did not eat.

This is the 1st. time that I saw the hotel's stuff informed that we have to check in at 3pm. not noon, and after that they just told me that there was no room available and sent us to another hotel where was near the MRT and shopping center which is good for us but the new area was like resident area no restaurant, however; it's easy to go anywhere because the new hotel just few minute from MRT...cool...

No selling points for this hotel
Small rooms. Not a good locations.
I called the hotel to confirm on my booking in the morning. When I reached the hotel at 6pm, the
receptionist told me that there's no rooms for us, the hotel was over booked and need to transfer us to another branch at Lavender & they didn't even give us a call before we check-in. We got no choice but just to shift with our tired bodies.Lavender Hotel rooms were so small and around that area can't get any shops or restaurant. Luckily there was a MRT station just 5 mins walk away. We were not really happy with the shifting. With the price we pay for the room, it was not worth it at all.
Shopping Tip : Take MRT to Bugis, can shop & eat at Bugis Street.

Staff are helpful and polite. The room is tidy for a budget hotel. However, the sound insulation of the room is very poor. You can hear somebody walking on the corridor, closing the door and showering in mid-night.
For the hotel location, you need to take a half-hour walk to the closest MRT station.

good restaurants and eating places in the surrounding area. about 15 minutes from airport.
Very tiered looking place. rooms tiny, bathrooms not up to standard.
we only stayed one night. guess we got what we paid for. Rooms and bathroom were clean but very mall. Lift was out of order and we had to carry our suitcases up two narrow flights of stairs without any help from the hotel. Its ok for one night as a stopover, but wouldn't stay longer.
Restaurant Tip : lots of eating places within walking distance.

This is the first time that I have the bad experience stay in Singapore. The service of the hotel is bad...they do not provide good service that they promised. The room condition average. The location is good, easy to get food and taxi. They told you they forget to clean the room and not enough staff to clean the room.

Location pretty bad compared to Hotel 81\nPoor Service\nVery small room\nUncomfortable bed and no comforter \n
Unfortunately nothing great to say about this hotel . The room was very small and the bed was not comfortable. The stuff was pretty inefficient and rude .\n\nThey misplaced our voucher and called us during midnight. When we told them that we are sleeping and we will settle the matter tomorrow. Then also they keep calling us in the room and disturbing us continuously. \n\nFinally I had to give them the voucher , thank god I had a duplicate copy . They actually misplaced the original copy and keep asking us again and aging . They didn’t stop bothering us in the middle of the night.\n\nWill never stay here even it is free .\n
Restaurant Tip : good place to hang out and very good sea food ...

Two computers available with internet access and skype.
Rooms without windows. Lout music in the middle of the night.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a good and cheap place for a quick stop over in Singapore. The rooms are not spotless but it is ok for a stop over.
Restaurant Tip : There are great and cheap Chinese restaurants close to the hotel.
