Clean and cheap and has a Filipino Staff who is very helpful and charming. Near to MRT and Bus stations for access to shopping malls, airport and most important to restaurants with clean and good food.

The cable TV doesn't work more effciently.

I will stay again in this Hotel. This is clean, cheap and very near or 3 to 10mins walking distance to MRT and Bus Stations that are access to airport, shopping malls, financial district and to local restaurants that serve cheap and clean food. This is a perfect hotel for low budget travellers who just want to shop and explore Singapore. The Hotel needs to improve its Cable TV, the reception is not clear. It will be better if their is an enternet access inside the room.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a Bus # 70M at Guelemard Rd just 5 mins walk from the hotel left side to go to SunTec City. From Suntec you can access all shopping malls and financial centers either by walk or short bus ride or get a package daily tour offered in Suntech Center. Get also ez link pass to save in transport expenses.

Situated at famous red light district areas but quite central in location.

None

The hotel is situated in the central of the red light district areas where there are many activities at night around the area. The security is good and there are many variety and selection of foods. This hotel is more suitable for travellers rather than businessman.

Easy to get foods

a bit far from MRT

Basically, the charges is reasonable. It is easy to get foods and there are many convenience shops arround. However, the counter/receptionist staff may not be friendly. No greetings and I checked out and when pointed a question about the public transport to the airport, the staffjust give me a name card with the road map on the reverse side without much explanation and eventually quickly go and serve the other incoming guests without further acknowledgement.

accommodation at a respectable price. close to entertainment. clean and comfortable. close to transport.

due to tiled floors through out can be very noisy with short term occupants coming and going. no safes or security boxs in room. cable and tv reception could be improved and tv remotes available.

a clean, comfortable and inexpensive place to stay in singapore with plenty of entertainment right outside. staff were curtious and professional whilst presenting a well maintained and groomed appearance. the pearl is the ideal overnight accommodation for the budget single traveller or the budget couple.

Nightlife Tip : being single the location is ideal for that occasional walk on the wild side.

Price. MRT station about 10 - 15 minute walk away.

Geylang is the so called red light district of Singapore but it's pretty tame and you're very safe there. The only clue to this is the ladies standing on each corner in the area, but who cares, you're staying there for the cheap rates. Our room was tiny but clean and comfortable. There is no brekfast or restaurant.

If you're on a budget, stay here. If you're not, don't - simple.

We just back from this hotel 1 week. Our room number is 805. This room is clean and tidy, but it is quite small. Room facilities are Ok.

We came from VN, our country use Two-pin plug only, So we have to borrow three-pin plug from Reception, but the lady required us to Put 5$ as deposit to take it. Suggest to leave it out.

This hotel can be considered to stay during the time visiting Singapore. It has 8 floors located on Lorong 14, geylang. It is quite convenient to take bus and MRT to go around the city, it is also suitable with budget tourist. Room are clean, tidy, but quite small. Rest room is equipped wz hot water system. We got the hosipitality of the reception staff.

Location, food choices, cost.

small room, noisy, expensive internet.

First time to Singapore, we are glad to stay at Fragrance Pearl. We took the buses to visit all the interest places, the double decker bus let you see the city without paying premium to the tour operator. As about food, we also recommend the No Sign Board restaurant on Geylang street, thair seafood is excellent.

Price and convienient location

Staff not too helpful

The Fragrance Pearl is very similar to other Fragrance hotels in the Gaylang area. They have small, but clean rooms and are located in the less polished side of Singapore. The hotel is good value for a place to stay for a few days especially if you are flying in or out as the train is about a 3 minute taxi fare or a ten minute walk. The train is a great way to get to and from the city and the airport and other parts of Singapore. The Fraagrance is cheap by Singapore standards and you will see another side of Singapore life. Lots of local eateries and places to drink and play if you want. Will stay again

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Learn to use the rail system it is cheap and will get you just about everywhere

Great price, clean, lots of taxis, and lots of food close by. The instant coffee in the room was really good.

OK, not 5 stars. No bar soap, no shampoo. Just some liquid soap in a wall mounted dispenser.

All willing to help when you ask for help willing to leave you alone when you don't want to be helped . Looking at the night life is interesting, great local food in the area. Not any US chains, but are you really going to Singapore to eat a Big Mac? Try the local its great. Only 2 small waters come with room, but several 7-11 type stores close by if you want soda or water. Room is small, but is clean. Bathroom is also small but both late night and 0700 plenty of hot water. All in all if you want luxury go somewhere else. If you want a clean room with a comfortable bed at a cheap price, then this hotel is for you!

Lots of activity downstairs. Many amenities and places to eat. Clean Building, Cozy and Great PRICE. You could find a better place for more money. So theres a TRADE OFF.

Everybody comments about the size and Red Light District location. This is Singapore and its SAFE! They could use Thicker Towels and Better Shampoo. For the Price, ITS OK !

First of all, my comparison is based on my experience in other Singapore Hotels and other hotels in ASIA and the USA. The price was DARN CHEAP! Most hotels in this price range are usually tiny, dirty and sometimes very unappealing. In the Philippines, the price gets you a room with no window and sometimes just a FAN. What im trying to say here is straight and simple. You get what you PAY For in this Hotel. Its simple, honest and a Good Choice. You get GOOD Value. Sure, the room is a bit small and the shower is small. However, we must remember the price! The room sleeps 2 people and is comfortable. Its relatively clean and semi modern. It does have some wear and tear, but i could easily overlook it due to the price. If you want a Better location, Bigger room and more luxurious amenities, then pay more. You cannot buy a Toyota corolla and expect the speed of a Porsche 911. I am quite satisfied with the hotel. The only surprise that i had was the distance from the Train Station. The 20 minute walk in the morning was quite comfortable. However, in the afternoon, the 20 minute walk can be exhausting. The SUN beading down your back will require you to take a few breaks to wipe your sweat off with a towel. If you take a taxi, its almost not worth it since its only a 3 minute taxi ride to the train. Geylang represents the older part of Singapore that has been relatively preserve. Some people say that its the ORIGINAL Singapore.

The hotel was nice and the people there are so friendly and very much accomodating.

No cable, limited channel to watch.

If I were to go back to Singapore I'll stay at this hotel once again. Even though it's not a five star hotel, it matches all my preference for a hotel, not to mention the location is very much accessible to all places you want to go.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is very accessible to all parts of the city, it's very near the small dining shops around bus station & mrt.

You may see lots of people gather around outside the hotel, but the room is rather quite. The staff is friendly & helpful. You may find lots of yummy foods around the area, esp., frog porridge & Hokkien mee. Convenient if you travel by bus, the bus station is just a few steps away from the hotel.

The aicon is very noisy. You may find it very happening along the street. Many foreign workers hanging out there. Long distance from hotel to MRT. It might made you feeling frastrated by passing through to crowds along the way to get to the MRT.

This is my 2nd time staying in Fragrance hotel at Geylang area. I would go back again as i quite satisfied to the hotel performance. What is more it met my budget and considering value for money. You may easy to find difference type of foods. For instance, the frog porridge, Hokkien mee, durian, etc.

Restaurant Tip : Must try the durian, it given you lots to choose, its cheaps and delicious. Besides, the famous food stall at Lor 9 it serves with it famous frog porrige & hokkien mee.
