- near to some food stall and internet station.
- good place to stay if you use it for sleep only.
- there are some buses to go there, but i didn't try.
- Far walking distance from MRT, its not 5 minutes as what ppl said. Almost 30 minutes with shortcut, if you don't know the shortcut, it will be so far away.
The price is worthed for the hotel room, nice to sleep, but far walking distance is a pain, especially after touring the whole day.

Very clean environment.
Friendly receptionists.
Tea/Coffee maker available.
Hair drier available.
Small rooms.
Bathrooms very small.
No windows.
It was a nice stay at Fragrance Rose. This is in Balestier Road and two Fragrance hotels were adjacent to each other (Fragrance Rose & Balestier Fragrance). Even though the rooms were very small it was very clean. Our room didn't have a window. But my parents had a room with windows. McDonnalds is near to the hotel. Even a KFC was there. you can take a direct bus to Habourfront ( to go to Sentosa). We took taxis to go to Sim Lim Plaza. China town is bit distant to the hotel but little India is closer by. Hotel reception was very friendly and they provide all the routes and some guidance on shopping areas etc.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sentosa is about 45 mins away from Hotel ( if you travel by bus) it's just S$2 fare.
Changi Airport to Hotel is about 20 mins by taxi. No buses direct to airport from Hotel. Taxi fare is about S$ 19. There are two types of taxis. Blue Hihunda cars charge high and yellow toyota (SMRT) charges low. Sim Lim Square (Computer and electronic items) is about S$5 taxi fare away from hotel.Mustafa Center is also about S$ 5.5 away from hotel.
