The only reason is, it's cheap. Hotels in Spore below $100 are a rarity now. I noticed too there are some decent restautants from the hotel (if you don't mind walking ) Far from MRT station, really far. It's really in the middle of nowhere for Tourists. The only way to go around to other parts of Spore is via a cab. Room is very functional, you can't barely walk in there. The bathroom/toilet is like a mini storeroom. This is at best a one-star hotel. If you plan to stay here, bring your own blanket cos theirs' too thin. Anyway, i shouldn't complain so much given the price.

The room is cleaned every day. The bath room is clean. The room is very small, but this is okay since the price is reasonable. If you are staying in Singapore alone or couple this budget hotel have reasonable price. Especially when you are often going out and stay in hotel only for sleep. The location of the hotel is near with novena MRT station. Just take 131 or 21 bus service across the Novena MRT and go down at Balestier Road just after the Shaw Place. The pioneer Bakut Tea in Balestier Road is very nice.

It is late afternoon only room is cleaned.
room is small. In Singapore, in general, hotels rate are not reasonable at all and quality and standard of service are poor. With same amount of money, we can get much better quality hotels in other countries in Asia, even higher cost of living in Singapore is taken into account. Services are not customer oriented and with world wide economic downturn, this class of hotels will suffer, unless they will offer cordial treatment to the guests, like, bed and breakfast type of hotels in countryside of U.K.. At least, it is o.k. to be not like hotels near Gaylang.
Hotel Feature Tip : It is convenient that the convenient store is next door, although the product array is comparatively poor.

I liked the place this hotel is situated in. Very good food on the different food courts. This is a good budget hotel if you are just looking for a place to sleep.

cheaper, has ESPN, star sports The room, although small, is fine for me. But I had to wake up early because it was noisy in the corridor or someone open the door to let out the noise. Also because my room is next to the lift. Not too close to the Aljunied MRT station, at least 15-20 minute walk.

Clean, near transport - easy to get into the city, good shower. Little bit noisy and the room was quite small. Check in was easy and we got up to our room with no problems. The room itself was quite small but clean and all the facilities available worked. The hotel had bus-stops almost outside the door and there was a bus straight into town - easy. There were also little shops just outside so we could buy simple things for breakfast etc. Staff were polite.

The room is nice and clean.
The service is good.
Near bus station.
Many mini market that open 24 hours.
The price is not over budget. The room has no fridge coz I need it.
The AC become too cold coz the room is quite small. I like to stay in here because I like places that clean and comfy. This hotel got it all. Even the room is small but it was comfy. The situation inside the hotel not too crowded but sometimes we can hear people chattered out loud outside from our room. I do need more blanket coz the AC become too cold sometimes. But most of all, I like it. It fits my budget and I can have lots of fun during my stay in Singapore.
Shopping Tip : This hotel near Shaw Plaza which is not too far from this hotel. Only couple of minutes walking from hotel to Shaw Plaza. And there's some traditional market near the hotel where you can buy things in low price.

Nice and clean.
Near bus station and MRT station. Overall I do like this hotel and I might come back to stay in here if I want to go to Singapore again. It's not far from Orchard Rd also.
You can reach the bus station by feet just couple of minutes. You can also reach the MRT station by feet too but about 15 minutes. Thumbs up for this hotel if you like cleanliness.
Hotel Feature Tip : This hotel have wi-fi but it's quite expensive (for me).

Easy to access, near to market Fragrance - Rose is located near to MRT station. Althogh their rooms are small, i feel comfortable to stay there. For business visit, it is worth to stay there. If they could provide Internet access it would be better.

no place to put luggage Our stay in Singapore though short compared to before was made convenient with our stay in Fragrance Hotel. Despite being narrow, with limited space and small toilet and bath, all basic amenities are in place in the room. The hotel needs to come up with a place where to put smelly things like durian so other people not familiar with its scent will not be put off.
When we return to Singapore, this time with our two kids, we will still stay at Fragrance Hotel-Rose
Restaurant Tip : There are several authentic Chinese, Malay and even western restaurants near the hotel. They are just within walking distance.

low budget with maybe to many stars in relation to the price I did stay here for the secound time, not for the liking of the hotel, but more for the convenience of the location.. The rooms are very small , just a bed and a little side table.The showers/toilet area is very small and have a system that is measuring the hot water supply.. so only very short showers with hot water.
Nightlife Tip : very close to the major shopping centre and easy connection to international airport so a very good location for overnight traveler.

Small room but quite clean. Include neccesary things: hair dryer, tissue, coffe, water, vacuum flask (to boil water). quite small, room square only enough for a double bed. Not suitable for stay a long time.
A little pure water: only two cups of pure water for 2 people, the third cup could be charged fee. Quite small room but clean and comfortable. It takes about 6 bus stoppings to nearest MRT station, Novina MRT. In the Balestier road you can find quite much food courts to enjoy. If you need to buy some things, there are 3 small supermarket available 24/7 near the hotel.
Shopping Tip : easy for shopping if u know the way to nearest MRT. U should go to Novina MRT, from it u can go to Bugis MRT station to shopping at famous Bugis street or to City Hall MRT to visit Orchid and everywhere u want.

A bus ride away to everywhere. At first glance, you might think you are far from downtown. But we later found out that it's just a bus ride away to everywhere. And come to think of it, Little India and Arab town is accessible with just half an hour walk if you feel like it. Restaurants are also abundant all around the hotel, a few minutes walk and you can savor delicious food.
Restaurant Tip : Nearby are a lot of family run restaurants which serve authentic Singaporean cuisine.
