Its at a good location. The pricing is low. It gives you the facilities of a 3 or 4 star hotel like 24/7 support, Wi-Fi etc.
The only weakness is that the rooms are too small.
I had a nice stay as i was looking for a good location and this indeed was a good location. Although the rooms were too small but yes the price they charge is worth it. It has a bus stop just outside for all the major locations in Singapore like Sentosa, Jurong, Zoo/Night Safari, Singapore Flyer etc.
The staff was also very kind and supportive.
I would recommend it to everyone who would not mind to compromise on the size of the rooms but save a lot of money.
Shopping Tip : The shopping heaven - Mustafa Market (a 24/7 shopping market) is at a 10 minutes walking distance. The electronics shopping paradise Sim Lim is at 5 minutes walking distance. The night market of Singapore - Bugis Village is also at 5minutes walking distance. You can use buses or even travel by MRT (train) as the Little India MRT station is again at 5 minutes walking distance. There are many other shopping areas nearby like Tekka Mall, Little India, Niranjan etc.

Clean hotel, Provides breakfast, close to most places and MRT stations, provides locker room for keeping luggage before check-in and after check out.
Really tiny rooms - nothing comparable to the pictures in the booking page. Phone was not really working from room.
Clean hotel, Provides breakfast - including toast and potato for vegetarians.
It is close to Orchard, Little India, Bugis.
Little India and Dobby Gaut MRTs are in walkable distance.
Many restaurants nearby, especially Indian food for vegetarians. They provided locker room for keeping luggage before check-in and after check out.
The rooms are very tiny and really cramped for two people and are not noise proof. I could hear all the noises in the corridors at night.
The phone was not usable (static noise), so I had to rely on public phone booths nearby.
wireless internet is SGD 4 an hour and there is a coin operated internet booth which is useful for short usage.
The most favorable point is its closeness to the city center and that gives the value for money. We used the rooms only for sleeping and were out most of the day time and hence the issues above were not very big.
Restaurant Tip : Indians, especially South Indian, please visit Komala Vilasam in Little India for good food. North and South Indian dishes are also available at Anand Bhavan near Musthafa

Rooms looked quite clean, housekeeper, though never smiled, but quite friendly. The hotel is near to tourist attraction centres like Bugis Junction/Bugis street, also near to Sim Lim Square (a place for IT), approximately 15 minutes walking distance.
Rooms too small, toilet/washroom extremely small, you can't even turn around. Position of placing toilet paper very bad. Staff not friendly, never smile. There was nothing much to eat during breakfast.
I had been to Singapore several times recently visiting my son who is working there.
The first time I stayed at Summer View Hotel with my family. It was a clean, nice and comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel is very near to Bugis junction, but the breakfast was ...sigh!
Later I stayed at the Hotel 81 near Lavender. Downstairs, there were food courts near by. You just need to take the mrt to bugis junction, very convenient. Staff were friendly, and the charge, reasonable. Actually this time I wanted to book there, but it was already full. Next time I will book earlier.
Sorry to say that I don't think I will stay at Fragrance Selegie Hotel any more. Hotel 81 Selegie is 2 or 3 doors away, I think I will book that hotel earlier for my next trip to Singapore which is scheduled in October.
Shopping Tip : Sim Lim Square, Bugis street/Junction near by.

Lousy hotel, not even close to three star.
This hotel is not worth staying at. It has limited space in the room and the bathroom. Everything here looks so cheap!

Hard to come up with any pros other than the location. Staff, for the most part, OK. Hotel clean.
Rooms too small for comfort.
The rooms are too small. I stayed in hotels in China that, for less money, had closets about as big as the rooms in this hotel. They are too small for comfort, no place to hang anything or even to put the bags out of the way. Would never stay there again and way over prised for the quality of the rooms.

-near MRT (Little India), convenient for travel to other place.
-LCD TV
-Hairdryer
-room very clean.
-small room.
-bath room is very small.
The hotel is very near Little India MRT station, use time around 3 minute walk. I think this hotel is not bad for traveler, who live only sleep.

A good hotel in a convenient location. Plenty of restaurants and shopping near. Only a short walk to Orchard Road and the MRT. Staff are pleasant and willing to please. Internet access was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and filling. Overall good value for money. Will be back again.

My friend and I checked into the hotel a little after noon Monday. My main desire was to take a tub bath, since I had not had one in two weeks. When I opened the bathroom door, I chuckled and told my room mate there would be no bath.
I would use the hotel again, but I would book the larger room. The real selling point is the location: near Little India and within walking of Orchard Road.

Close Proximity to Mustafa and MRT
- Very small rooms. I am six feet tall and I could barely move
- Toilets were tiny, I had to squeeze my self before I could take use the toilet
- Breakfast was substandard and the service was stingy, they never served a full filling.

Shopping Tip : Mustafa Center is walking distance from the hotel and so is the MRT

1.Breakfast provided
2.Good locatoin for public transportation
3.Good room rate for budget traveller
1.No variation in breakfast food
2.Very small room space
3.Choice of local tours provided by hotel is
limited
This is an economical hotel for budget travellers.Except for too small room space, it is a good hotel. If management can heed the suggestions offered here and take some actions to make the improvements on it, it might become a best budget hotel in Singapore. My suggestion is TRY to make some variation in the breakfast
food.I have stayed at this hotel for six days and also taken the same breakfast for six mornings. It made me bored when seeing the same
food.

Of course you cant expect a large room in Singapore for this price, but it was clean and had air conditioning! The staff were very friendly and helped us out a number of times (laundry can be done cheaply at the Fragrance backpackers nearby). Location wise, it is in a nice area, close to Little India and a couple of nice hawker centres in Bugis. In the other direction, its about 20 mins walk to the start of orchard rd.
Nightlife Tip : Check out Zouk club, its nice.

Low price and decent facilities. The swimming pool on the roof was good!
The rooms are a little small and basic.
The hotel is located close to the metro, which makes it ideal for all the usual tourist attractions. The rooms were ok; they were clean, basic, but satisfied the need. The swimming pool on the roof makes a great place to chill out and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I believe the hotel represents very good value for money, but the rooms are basic.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Visit Sentosa, so many great things to do!

Neat, cheap and transportation is convinient.
The room is neat and cheap, but a little small. Only take 5min to walk to MRT station. If you don't mind a small room, this is a good place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is near to India area and Orchat road. You can eat delicious Indian food and enjoy a shopping trip.

The location is very convenient, near to MRT, near to Orchard, closed to Mustafa Centre. Hotel's staff is polite & friendly
The size of the standard room is quite small
I like this place, from here you can go to other interesting places easily. Every request I need was responsed fastly and in the manner of friend. Breakfast is provided free & good taste. Next time, when I have chance to go to Singapore, I will choose this hotel again. And also, I will tell my friends in case they want to have the convenience like us last period.
