Clean and easy to take all kinds of travel mode.
rooms are small. Hotel is old.
I choose this hotel from internet and I'm quite surprised when I arrived to hotel as rooms are so small.Food are normal. But cleanliness and staffs performances are acceptable. Easy to catch all kinds of travel mode is the fact that i might think to stay at this hotel again in sometimes later.

The hotel is within walking distance to Little India, one of the attraction. Plus, there's a bus stop right outside the hotel door.
The front desk receptionists were not helpful. The room I booked specially indicated 2 beds, but was given one with only 1 bed. The rooms were so small one could barely walk in there. In fact, the rooms were so small that the door to the bathroom was opening within inches from the end of the bed. After a shower, one could practically do watersliding in the room. Be warned, bring a pair of flip-flops.
I wouldn't consider this a hotel. A guest house dorm, maybe. Not only that the rooms were too small, the lack of understanding and some effort to help the guests made it even worse. The next morning at the front desk, we saw this caucasian gentleman carrying a baby in his arms shouting, claiming the hotel "ripped him off." I was feeling the same way, so I wouldn't blame him. Having been to Singapore a number of times and staying at different hotels, this was by far the worst. I'd never consider this hotel again, unless I must choose between sleeping on the street and a room. I booked this hotel at the last minute, so basically I didn't have many options.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is close to Little India. Plus, there's a bus stop right outside the hotel.

Wifi (although it was $4 per hour).
Unbelievably small room.
Bed was too short for even my 5'8" body.
Shower was directly over toilet.
AC was very loud.
Beds had rubber mattress covers that were uncomfortable.
No refrigerator (at this price there are some things that should be expected).
Avoid this hotel.
Seriously – I travel almost constantly – and not in 5 star hotels (I work for the Red Cross), so trust me when I say, this place is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever had the misfortune of being associated with. Listen, those people that said the room was so small you couldn’t fit the luggage in – this isn’t hyperbole, it’s that small. I mean seriously – you have to believe it – it’s really that small… and we got the more expensive “superior” room.
There is a constant sound of water running through the air conditioner.
Oh, and the beds have plastic under the sheets.
Restaurant Tip : The Tapas bar in Little India was really nice.

Convenient: Food, shopping, grocery and traffic is good.
Location: Easy to find.
No place for customer to unload luggages and stuffs. And driver who park behind hotel need to reverse their car where the traffic is bad. Therefore, not easy for drivers to reverse their cars.
The hotel locates at city centre, good for business and shopping. For people who drive, it is not good because u need to pay extra fees for ERP. About the room, the room is tidy but tiny in room and in bathroom. It makes me think the only different between this and hotel 81 is the price only. I asked myself, why not stay in hotel 81 instead?
About the service, it's good but just needed improvement overall. The hotel is good, just that some thing may need to be improved.

We were not looking for any special hotel facilities other than hot shower, clean and comfortable bed and aircon which was all adequate at this hotel. Our main purpose was to get out and enjoy the food and sights of singapore so the location was very good for this. The little india and sopping at mustafa is open 24 hr. was very safe and the little india area has the best variety of good and well priced meals.

good value, cleanliness, convenient location
very small room, and minuscule bathroom, no place to leave your suitcase on, no wardrobe.
The hotel is good value for money, but I would have preferred a bit more room. actually the room is very very small, and you cannot leave your luggage aanywhre, unless you put it on the chair. the bed is OK, but I wonder how a second person could get in or out, as the kingsize bed only can be accesses at one side. When you shower, count with having a wet toilet afterwards.
Restaurant Tip : very nice dining places nearby. The Rendez vous and Orchard Road

small rooms - frugal breakfast with little variety.
This was my first visit to Singapore. With regard to the general high accommodation costs in Singapore the hotel offered good value for money with a nice central location which had easy access to all transportation modes, places of interest, restraunts and the main street shopping centres. The hotel is clean and the staff are nice and cooperative. Overall my experience here was good and and I would recommend the hotel to others seeking value for money and are not too picky with regard to facilities and size of the accommodation.

Definitely no pros that I could find, sorry.
Worse thing is shower is just above toilet!
First look at the picture, one would think that it is a decent room, but don't be fooled by it, it definitely is not what it seems. All of the basic facilities are listed fair enough, but the rate for the hotel is so much higher or equal compared to for example Hotel 81 chains, and 81 rooms that I have stayed before, are much bigger than what Fragrance Selegie offered. There was no space for movement, let alone drop my luggage somewhere in the room! One could shower above the toilet seater???!!! That's where the tap and sprinkler is located, definitely not recommended to any budget travellor. Go for Hotel 81 chains insteadI would say. Definitely disappointed with it and was so disgusted by the condition of the room that I could not stay there for even one night.....

The location of the hotel brings you right in the middle of Orchard Road and Bugis Area. It is 10-15 minutes away from the airport. Front Desk people are accommodating specially the Filipino staff that brings the hospitality trait with them.
Rooms are so small and breakfast is the same everyday.
A budget hotel that's worth your dollars. The location itself is a give away as it is near all important areas of Singapore. It's a good example of the saying: Size doesn't matter. It is easily accessible by any means of transportation from cabs, MRT or bus. It's definitely for the business traveler and tourist who is maximizing his time in Singapore. The rooms are cozy enough to rest your tired body after a long day in the heart of Singapore.
Shopping Tip : walk toward your right and your steps away from Sim Lim Plaza the gadget mall of Singapore and walk towards your left ad you are steps away from Orchard Road and if you want to experience culture and art your are across the artist baars and restaurants of choice.

Small room but expected before I arrived.
Staying at the Fragrance Selegie hotel was a great decision, especially when traveling on such a tight budget. Little India is quickly becoming an area for cheap accommodation (unfortunately some other unwholesome establishments to attract tourists too), but the area is very safe, relatively clean, and a reasonable distance from both Dhoby Ghaut and Little India MRT stations, and is quite close to Orchard Rd as well. Also taxis frequent up Selegie Rd, right outside the hotel, so getting transportation in and out is no problem.
The hotel itself is very small, but this is no problem, especially for budget-conscious not picky like myself. The bathroom is admittedly the size of a matchbox, but taking showers begins to feel quite normal and you do get used to it. The cleaning service is prompt and great, complimentary breakfast, whilst nothing to write home about, is a good decent feed, with friendly wait staff who are very knowledgeable of the area and getting around.
To get access to the hotel's wireless internet service is $4 for 1 hr, $9 for 3hrs, or $24 for 24hrs. During my stay I found that the 3hr payment is the most economical option, and the staff don't mind if you pay in coins, which is great as an easy way to get rid of the day's accumulation of small change! Overall a very good stay.

Incredibly small rooms, not worth the price paid.
Hotel location is great but the rooms are so small as to make them almost unusable. For a few bucks more you can stay at a much nicer place. The rooms facing the street are also very loud since a bus stop outside keeps it sounding like a construction zone.
