All in all a splendid hotel. It would be virtually perfect if the gym were expanded somewhat, and the internet charges were fixed at a level that most guests- and not just those on expense accounts- could afford. But if you want a luxury hotel in a historic building that's run with impeccably unobtrusive efficiency, this is it.
- Nightlife Tip : Try Archipelago Brewpub just off South Bridge Road- a surprisingly successful alternative to Tiger beer. The small but cheerful Indian restaurant opposite is also worth a visit, and massively more so than many pricier and more pretentious establishments on Clark/Robinson Quays.....

Go for the "breakfast included" option as the variety of the buffet choices (including, among many other things, a juice bar) is almost mind-boggling, and the outdoor seating area along the river provides an oasis of peace and quiet in the morning.

The pool was wonderful. As it was up on a higher floor, you could swim to the edge of the infinity pool and overlook the city. The breakfast buffet was immense and offered everything.
