The only thing 5 Star about this hotel is probably the price. The rooms are so small, the service is so poor that even 3 star rating will be more than generous. The carpark location is far. The staff are very inflexible...the service at the conceirge is the worst! If you are willing to pay top dollar, i think there are many hotels to choose from. definitely not value for money!
Hardly any. For the price you pay, you get less than what you deserve.
Plenty.#1. Valet service does not allow overnight parkig. #2.Conceirge very rude and unhelpful. #3. Inflexible parking conditions, the Carpark is too far from the hotel. #4. Room is too small. #5. Staff at the cafe serving breakfast are very forgetful. Too many foreign staff without proper training. Service is appalling. #5.Receptionist are very new and inexperienced. #6. Service is very slow, the response time is very slow for Singapore standards.

All in all a splendid hotel. It would be virtually perfect if the gym were expanded somewhat, and the internet charges were fixed at a level that most guests- and not just those on expense accounts- could afford. But if you want a luxury hotel in a historic building that's run with impeccably unobtrusive efficiency, this is it.
- Nightlife Tip : Try Archipelago Brewpub just off South Bridge Road- a surprisingly successful alternative to Tiger beer. The small but cheerful Indian restaurant opposite is also worth a visit, and massively more so than many pricier and more pretentious establishments on Clark/Robinson Quays.....

Go for the "breakfast included" option as the variety of the buffet choices (including, among many other things, a juice bar) is almost mind-boggling, and the outdoor seating area along the river provides an oasis of peace and quiet in the morning.

The pool was wonderful. As it was up on a higher floor, you could swim to the edge of the infinity pool and overlook the city. The breakfast buffet was immense and offered everything.

Try to get a Quay view room, it´s worth the extra money. Old monumental colonial post office that has been turned into one of the most fascinating and elegant holtels in Singapore.
- Restaurant Tip : Have dinner on the terrace. The views are stunning. Go for a drink to the adjoining Boat Quay. Or take a five minute walk to Lau Pa Sat, a former colonial market, now a huge food court, with delicacies from all of South East Asia

We chose the Fullerton on the recommendation of friends whom we travelled with on this trip. The friendly and informative staff at reception made us very welcome and even gave us a mini tour of the premises while we waited for our room to be made up.
- Restaurant Tip : The selection of waterfront dining is wonderful.

This is a fabulous hotel. The riverside location is sensational and sitting outside overlooking the river eating the yummy buffet breakfast is a great way to start your day in Singapore. The pool is also fantastic. I would highly reccomend and am already planing to go back!
- Restaurant Tip : Spend the money and stay at the Fullerton - you can save by eating cheaply in Little India or at the nearby hawker market. Little India has the best Indian food I have tasted and for $45 including a jug or beer for, two tremendous value. We went to two restaurants recomended in the Lonely Planet and weren't disappointed.
