The location of the hotel is great, near the China town MRT station, lots of shopping areas around. The size of the room is adequate to fit in a baby cot.

Great Location in China Town & Clarke Quay

Furama City Centre Hotel was great, within easy walking distance of both China Town and Clarke Quay. The Hotel its self was very nice for the the price we paid, and much better than some we've stayed in costing three times the price.
We arrived earlier due to a long overnight flight from europe, filled in some time at the airport but when arriving at the hotel, the guest manager found us a room straight away and we were checked in. All the facilities were great and the room very nice.
We will certainly stay again next time in Singapore.

This hotel is quite nice. It is conveniently situation in Chinatown. It takes less than 5 minutes walking from the hotel to Chinatown MRT station. There is shopping mall just next to the hotel. You can find a food court in the basement and a number of travel agents selling air tickets and express coach tickets going to Malaysia.
The hotel itself is quite nice. It is clean and quiet. The rooms are not as big as such but they are alright. The restaurant and the executive lounge are quite nice. As a 3 to 4 star hotel, you cannot expect to find many facilities inside the hotel. There is a small gym room and a swimming pool inside the hotel. If you like to see the Chinatown and try out Chinese food, this hotel is a good choice. You can simply walk to the Chinatown within 15 minutes.

I decided to stay at Furama Hotel due to the location and good standing reputation. I was not disappointed. It's a great place to connect to China Town, and very close to the MRT which can get you anywhere you need to go. The hotel was very clean and efficiently run. I am happy I chose Furama.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It's great to be close to China Town, but it's also very close to Clarke Quay, which is a very nice area if you can afford it.

good location for those who like to take their own pace to have a look around town. walking distance from shopping areas and china town! public transportation (metro) was near by as well. hailing a taxi to the airport cost about sin 22 which was a better deal when travelling with family, since airport shuttle would cost sin 9 per person.
Hotel Feature Tip:
For those who care about night view from your room, you may want to try requesting a room facing the Singapore Flyer side.
