Very quick walk to Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Next to a Chinatown shopping complex with the usual bargaining shops. Rooms looks renovated and somewhat modern. Staff was nice and willing to help.
Restaurant Tip:
Must go to eat chicken and rice over at Maxwell Center which is a 10 minute walk.

+ Bus stop in front of the hotel
+ Good service
- Hotel interior a little bit too oldskul but nice
- I got no free Wifi (it's around 15$ for one hour for 1 username)
Nightlife Tip:
ClarkeQuay riverside is the best place to hang out

This hotel although is old but it's well maintained and kept. It is also situated in Chinatown and therefore has lots of shops and eateries. It's within easy reach to Singapore's Orchard Road and Marina Bay Area and the downtown finanical hub of Shenton Way. Dressing is casual in sunny Singapore and this hotel does not discriminate its guest by the way they dress. Very nice staff serving you day and night.

stay a few times and previous booking was a lot cheaper and also comes with breakfast. it is about twice as expensive now. rooms are clean and comfortable. things i like - it is near to a lot of good food and restaurants around. the few food courts/ food center are nearby with a spoilt of good local food. shopping centers are just next to the hotel. easy transportation by taxi, mrt or buses.
