The hotel is in a great location, close to both Chinatown and Clarke Quay, which is an excellent place for restaurants and bars.
The MRT is also very close by and the views from the room I stayed in looked over the city including the Singapore Flyer.
The room was very clean as was the bathroom which had an excellent shower.
All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
nothing, I loved staying at this hotel and would stay there in the future.
The only thing I would have liked was free access to wi-fi in the rooms, it is available but isn't complimentary.
Furama City Centre is an excellent hotel in a very convenient location. Close to the MRT, bars, Clarke Quay, restaurants and Chinatown, it is an ideal and relaxing base for your stay in Singapore. It is easy to get to shopping areas such as Orchard Road by the MRT or taxi, and it's location also makes it easy to walk to many destinations and sites. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the rooms are very clean with wonderful views over the city. I would recommend this hotel and I will be staying there again the next time that I visit Singapore.

Easy access to China town where lots of food is available.
A little bit older facility.
I enjoy staying this hotel. Easy access to China town where everything is pretty much available. Great Chinese food in reasonable price. Currency exchange, foot massage, sourveniers, movies, etc. MRT station is in walking distance and buses are constantly coming on the street. You never get bored. Orchard road is within 10 mintutes by MRT and taxi or buses.
Hotel room is alright for business travelers. I don't need luxuary. I only take a rest in the room for evening, that's all. Accessability and convenience count for me.
Travel tip : Easy access to Fort Cunning, my regular jogging trail. I love it.

Clean, Great Location, right next to MRT and quick walk to Chinatown
Foyer bit shabby for four star, nothing in minibar for ladies only softdrink and beer
Upon arrving the concierge was pleasant and helpful although I had reservations about the hotel judging by the presentation at the foyer. The room was spotlistlessly clean but smaller than I would have liked. However the location to MRT and Chinatown was exactly as described on net and therefore perfect for the reason we had booked the hotel.
Shopping Tip : The walkovers to get on other side of street are invaluable at first we tried crossing the road but way too busy so make the effort to walk a bit down the road to get to the walkovers

The hotel staff are very helpful, starting from the valet to the front desk to the room serving staff. The hotel is well centrally located with lots of food and shopping.
The old rooms need to be renovated, although they are still ok but if this could be improved, then it would be great. I love the huge balcony.
We were given a new renovated room when we first arrived, the room was very well renovated, but we are not satisfied with the room because there is no window. The front desk staff changed our room without any question asked to a old room with a huge balcony (the front desk advise us before hand that the room with huge balcony was not renovated). We enjoy our stay there and will stay there if we are back again the next time.

Location location location
Nice pool & gym
Good shower
Popular Restaurant - good sign!
Cleaning products left very pungent smell in room
Bedding was white but very itchy - overuse of bleach
The hotel is ideally located to explore chinatown. MRT near by but if youre coming from the airport you need to make 2 changes. Only recommended if youre travelling light! Good service once i'd hauled my bags up to the reception area...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definately take a walk to the Singapore's quay in the evening! Its fantastic...

Ease of location. Proximity to shops.
Hotel Rooms are just a little tired (old)
The Hotel still benefits from being very centrally located to the main parts of town, and extremely well placed for the later development of the casino complex currently being built (whilst not too close, well within walking distance). The staff are very friendly and professional, and extremely attentive. The rooms are a little tired in terms of decor and wear and tear, but they are still clean and the room benefits from having the usual services expected from a 4 star hotel. The only drawback is that for the business traveller, the requirement for the internet to have unique IP addresses is very important for account based e-mail programs (as the internet connection only allows for server based e-mail to be sent, and not e-mail programs such as Entourage, Outlook Express etc). I didn't ask the hotel whether their technician could give me the IP codes necessary to correct this. Finally, the pricing for this hotel represents value in a city that seems to constantly increase its pricing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out Chinatown plaza complex across the walkway. On the 4th floor there are many decent spa type saunas and massage shops. The Spa Oriental has a very high standard of massage, and it's really well priced for this city.

Convenient to China Town, even a bridge is connected.
When arrived, the receptionist gave me a room with no window. As they cannot sell out the room, they give this to those poor customers booking through internet.

Close to public transport and cheap eats.
I've stayed at this hotel several times and keep coming back for the location: in Chinatown, close to MRT and just a short wlk to Clarke Quay. The only real problem is that it is just off the main road and, at peak times, it is very hard to get a taxi from the front door. Usually I get a package without breakfast included because, as far as hotel breakfasts go this one is only average, with limited choice, unless you go for the Executive Club where it is far better. In any case, cheap eats are two mins walk away in the Peoples Park Centre where there is plenty of choice. Overall good for the business traveler.

very good location & close to China Town dining area, you can take a lower price food around the hotel area(just SGD3 for rice & SGD1 for sofe drink). you can shopping around the hotel area & just 5 mins walk to the China Town night shopping area. The room is clear & good for family or business guy, but internet is very expensive, you can use much cheaper in China Town.

This place has very good location. Couple of minute walk to Chinatown and 7-10 minute walk to the river and colonial part of town. Other than that I don't have anything good to add. This place hadn't been remodeled in 20+ years looks like. $24 for wireless internet access per day??? That's just robbery...

Location, location, location.
Staff was excellent and one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in.
During my three day stay at the Furama City Centre I was treated like a king and if I needed help with anything the staff attended to it immediately. The lobby was always spotless and the rooms were always cleaned and ready for me upon my return during the day. I have two friends who also travel the world for business and have been in Hong Kong several times and they both said they are staying at the Furama from now on.

Rooftop pool and gym were a great bonus.
Convenient position in Chinatown within walking distance of both the CBD and Clarke Quay leisure area; so whether your stay is business or pleasure this is the place to be.
