Initially disappointed with room and noise from construction work going on on the 5th floor but staff very good about it and arranged more suitable room for us at the front of the hotel. Room was clean, comfy and had a nice view out front. The restaurant/room service was excellent. Food was great. Fitness centre was well equipped for such a small gym space but was adequate. (We used it every 2nd day!) Swimming pool was deliciously cooling after a day of exploration. Singapore Sightseeing Tour bustop neaxt door outside Mirimar made exploration very easy. Taxi to Vivo City for Food Republic and Angry Birds Cable Car to Sentosa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Original Singapore Bus Tours allows hop on hop off flexibility and 3 routes so you can familiarise yourself more easily.

Ok if you get the right deal

Booked executive package. Not overly impressed with updated room but is on a separate floor. Bathroom is a glass room and not altogether private. Package included executive breakfast in separate dining area but we chose the main restaurant as the choice was far superior. They do offer good rates for standard rooms which are more than suitable. Would choose these next time. Pool area showing age and really needs a makeover.

Had club room which was large by Singaporean standards. Hotel has self service laundry which for a frequent business traveller is a major plus. Staff very friendly.

The location is a 2 second stroll from the main road where the beach is. If you wolf the other direction up poppies 2 you will come across all the little markets and eventually get to the lively bar area of poppies 1.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit ubud, very nice unspoiled area.
