i stayed on an executive club floor to access the executive facilities. the exec lounge & food were great but best facility was attentiveness of the staff and the way they looked after my requests for printing and advice.
recommended hotel.

Good location but rooms stink!

We booked the hotel for 4 nights through Agoda and regretted it upon checking in to the hotel. We requested for a non-smoking room and it smells like a smoking room! The smell gave me headache and when i approached the staff, they said they could not do anything about it. Not only that, the toothpaste tastes like rubber and the bed is not comfortable at all. Upon check out, i was very surprised to be charged for internet usage! It's $25 for an hour. I explained to the staff that I didnt not there is no free internet usage as they dont even require a password to log in! I guess this is what you get for what you pay for.

Old hotel but spacious rooms

i stayed at this hotel because my father was hospitalized at singapore general hospital and so i needed a place to stay close to the hospital so i could easily go back and forth to the hospital. the hotel looked pretty old but the room was actually big and spacious. the location was great for me as i could walk to the hospital, although quite a long walk, about 10 minutes to sgh block 6 & 7. the internet service however was surprisingly expensive which was sgd 5 for only 15 minutes! the maintenance staff who fixed the electricity in my room (which at first couldn't work when the key was inserted) didn't seem to speak english and was not friendly. the reception staff also was not very friendly. but the staff near the entrance, the concierge, they were all very friendly and helpful!

I enjoyed staying in this hotel.its breakfast was delicious.its location was very good for walking beside river and shopping from orchid road.at last it is suitable for honeymoon and business purpose travel.thanks.

very comfortable stay. enjoyed the view and was thankful for an early check-in. room was very comfortable and cosy. liked the ambience of the restaurant on 1st floor.

Clean and spacious room, well kept and "smell-less" even if it's smoking floor and smoking room. Bathtub not very big but acceptable size. Complementary bottled drinking water (2 bottles) available. TV channels are ample. Room size is spacious, with side tables besides the bed, two single seater sofa and a tea-desk. Didn't order room service during this stay, but I would highly recommend room dining service as it is really value for money. Tried these food during my previous stay: nasi-goreng (fried rice), fried chicken wings and club sandwich are wonderful! Do try out the soup too!

nice hotel rooms, although its old design but still great service. the check-in staff miss lynn tham received and attended us very well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great price for a hotel in Singapore. Transport to heartland and experience the Singapore Living in Tiong Bahru Area with great local food. Try taking the local bus which is very easy and convenient. Bus 123 just outside the hotel, less than 5 stops away to neighbourhood shopping and it costs less than a dollar per pax. If you move down south, you have plenty of nightspots and food as well. Moving around is very easy.

A hotel with friendly service staff, which is rather exceptional for a mid-range hotel. Also, I'm extremely impressed with the range of selection of food for breakfast.
