A short weekend staycation
The hotel is very clean. I love that the hotel have a lot of beautiful art pieces and the room is spacious.

I love my stay at the hotel. I would definitely come back for more as my recent stay was for a short period of time.

Comfortable bed, but not much else

Checked in to this hotel during a work day because we needed a break from the rigours and demands of work. Honestly, the only reason we selected this place was because it is one of cheaper options in a reasonable area.
The room was clean but small, and our king bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a joke, so so tiny and difficult for one person to navigate in, what more two. There is stainless steel everywhere - guess they're gunning for the industrial look. The track lights in our room do not work. Lamps were glaring and too bright. I'd get claustrophobic in this place if we had to stay for more than a night.
Room service was horrible. The room service guy did not set up our table (!!!) and gave us only one napkin. Shouldn't have tipped him. We ordered the hawaiian pizza and aglio olio pasta - both were food court standard, and the aglio olio as especially inedible. But we were famished so we nibbled on some. The crab cake tempura was very nice though, with a generous amount of sweet crab. Thank God we skipped dessert - we BYO-ed a brilliant bottle of Shiraz instead.
With a name like Gallery Hotel, one would conjure up images of nicely decorated rooms with abundant paintings. But no, all we had were two dull uninspiring paintings and a bare, almost cold, room.
I guess I wont be staying in this hotel again. There are a lot of better options out there which costs just a couple of bucks more.

Cozy Hotel with average rooms
Free internet, quiet surroundings & ample car park
5.3
I would say that this is one of the worse stay so far.
Thank goodness I didnt have to stay overnight.
The aircon was extremely cold even though I adjusted the thermostat. Room was so-so & they gave me a queen size bed on wooden board base (very old-design).
Not booking this hotel ever again.

Very comfortable, good location
many nearby restaurants, fantastic pool, water and tea supplies in room

It was a lovely place to stay and very convenient to my conference and to things to do and places to eat. Restaurants along the river there offered great options - especially for breakfast.

Second time at The Gallery, we returned because we liked the area and our first stay had exceeded expectations. This time we left disappointed because of poor quality rooms and service. In our room the sink drain leaked all over the floor and despite requests was never fixed. Our friends room next door had faulty air con and was not made up on the second day. This could be a great little hotel but is crying out for some TLC and investment in rooms and staff.

When we checked in624, the shower room wasnt cleaned, the bed wasnt made, I called the front desk to change a new room. We waited for 15 mins, no one came to deal with this, and I went down to ask, the staffs seemed a problem with themselves. Finally I got 626, at night, we took a shower, I found the room molded. Geeee....

Rooms were so so. Could see that it was once a nice hotel but it's a bit tired now. Nonetheless, clean bed and toilet. Staff gave lukewarm attitude and it was my friend's birthday but no initiative from the staff whatsoever. Location near many restaurants.
