Things I like: Good location to move around several places of attraction in the city; Taxi station at door; Nice swimming pool; Staff are friendly and helpful; Good price for family with kids as there is no extra-bed charge for kids under 6 years old.
Improvement needed: No extra-bed charge for kids under 6 years old is one of the strong selling points to family groups but this feature must be facilitated on Agoda's hotel selection website to increase the competiveness of the hotel.
Having been in Singapore for several times, this is the second time I stayed in this hotel and I can tell overally I am satisfied with the hotel performance. I think Golden Landmark Hotel is quite good for travellers who look for a hotel with standard features at good price. In addition, it is absolutely a good deal for family groups with young children as the hotel does not claim extra-bed charge for kids under 6 years old.
Shopping Tip : The foreign exchange booth in the hotel's ground shops at the front of Arab Street offers a very much competitive price to buy Singapore dollars than the other exchange/bank counters available in shopping plazas.

The hotel has decent Indian Restuarant with good food.
Located in convinient location and easily accessible. Decent Ambience
Not very good room and amenities.
Internet does not work there.
A lot of people were fighting at the hotel to get their confirmed Breakfast and Hotel was refusing for the same.
It takes 1 hour and 5 phone calls to get your luggage or any other service. These people do not even pick up phone
The Hotel is not worth spending the money which they charge you. They cheat you and it was evident from the situation at the reception where lot of people were fighting with Hotel Management for not fulfilling their promise. We ordered 2 items from room Service and they delivered only one. We complained about it immediately over phone but they still charged it to us.
Its a bad hotel and I would recommend not to use it even in worst case. YOu can get better options at lower prices.
The hotel staff does not even know What Service means. You keep on calling them from your room and they do not even pick up the phone.
Very Very BAd hotel.
Restaurant Tip : If you are stuck at this Hotel then you can try their Indian Buffet which is nice.

Breakfast is generally good, room is spacious and well layout, location is excellent as it is near MRT station
Service can be further improved, house restaurant on 3rd floor looks worn out and has downgraded the entire place.
If I could sum up the overall experience, I would say that it was a well worth stay throughout. For those who expect no hassle and just a comfortable & quiet stay, I would rate it as one of those which you must consider. Location is great with the MRT station just a block away. Shopping options are abundant and also within walking distance. In summary, this place should provide you the experience of unadulterated Singapore at an affordable rate and reasonable stay.
Shopping Tip : There are some nice antique shops nearby which worth taking a look.

A great hotel with fantastic location. Great service if the right person is at the counter. Food is amazing particularly at Breakfast. Pool and surrounding areas are beautiful and services there are well maintained. Reasonably priced. City Centre. A clear Landmark of Singapore City that is easily accessible by most forms of transport.

Friendly Staff!
Centrality to China Markets and Little India.
Easy to Find!
Bell Counter not very well manned or organised.
The Golden Landmark is hotel with its own small shopping center in the 3 lower levels allowing you easy access to any necessities you may need through your stay. It is a safe and easily located hotel that is just at two of the main roads in Singapore. It is very close to Little India, Chinese markets and Temporary Markets that are a great place for a bargain. The staff are helpful and the hotel allows you access to the pool area between 7 and 7 if you are early for check in or have checked and still have a few hours until you need to leave. They also allow you to leave your baggage at the bell counter.

Near Bugis MRT Station (Only 5 minutes walk) and train from Changi Airport goes direct to Bugis
Bed too small for 2 persons in my room. Sorry, but to many guests from the sub-continent
Quite a convienent place to stay if you want to be near an MRT station - it is only a 5 minutes walk. Once you are in the Bugis MRT station, you can go anywhere from there. The reception, however, is served by only 2-3 people, which is insufficient at peak period. The room is clean, but alot of its guests are from the Indian sub-continent, which may not reflect too well for the hotel. Probably, the hotel needs to do more promotion elsewhere.
Restaurant Tip : Need not eat at the restaurant in the hotel. There are plenty of good local hawkers food within a 5-minute walk from the hotel

Excellent location, close to the MRT and Raffles Hospital
Older Hotel upkeep not great, poor gym, room services poor
I have stayed at the Golden Landmark Hotel on a few occasions I will continue to come back mainly due to the excellent location near Bugis junction and the MRT. The value is perhaps a wee bit high for the quality of room and service you get for this older Hotel. The gym needs an upgrade it is very limited to the amount of exercise equipment, there are no free wieghts the machines are in poor condition. There are many receptions at this hotel and there is loud music late into the night if you are facing the pool side.
Shopping Tip : Bugis Junction is only 5 minutes away

Great location, near Bugis MRT and Bugis Centre, near a great cheap food court. Nice, friendly staff, rooms are fine, we have stayed in a deluxe and the club room (highly recommended if you want to pay extra)
Check in and out is an absolute joke, the queues were not long - thank god! but the staff seem to take forever to check people in and out. We must have waited over half an hour on each occassion we were there (twice) with only 2 or 3 people in front of us.
We stayed at this hotel on our way in and out of Singapore during a trip to meet each other and holiday in Thailand, my husband was travelling from Perth and I was meeting him half way in Singapore from the UK. I chose the hotel due to price and location. My husband had stayed in the Allson which is at the other end of the same street on his way out to OZ on his own and said it was a superb location but I found this hotel too pricey so the Landmark was the cheaper alternative. We checked in early and our room was not available but were offered an upgrade to a club room with free use of internet, a separate club lounge where we were served breakfast and afternoon tea and coffee with biscuits which was great, we took them up on this offer so that we could get into our room straight away, we did arrive at the hotel at about 8am and really needed the rest. We could not fault this stay apart from the slow check out. On our way back we booked a deluxe room with breakfast, the room was slightly smaller but still had the same furnishings which was fine, missed breakfast on both occassions unfortunately but the normal dining area looked busy as we were checking out. The only problem with this room was we were faced in the direction of the Mosque as the hotel is located near Arab Street and the prayer chanting did disterb us during the night on one occassion. Other than that and the exsessively slow check out I would recommend this hotel.

- The Fact that the Hotels location is near Bugis Junction
- Dirty
- you can hardly find the entrance of the hotel if you come by train for the first time
- The front staff was unfriendly and not very customer oriented
- They enquired about the flight number and airline and departure city additionally to the passport which sounded a bit weird (normally you only have to present the passport)
- The front staff during check in did not even bother to ask a bellboy to bring our luggage upstairs we had to take it ourselves.
- Room furniture and carpet was old, it was a very tiny room allthough we booked a deluxe room
- noisy air condition
- dirty bathroom and bathtub (especially)
- The cleaning staff did not even bother to leave toilet paper in the room
- The Bathroom door was not working, so we could not even close the bathroom door
- The lift was always blocked so we had to wait for a long time
- On the day of departure from the hotel the staff threw or luggage on the ground and my husband had to drag it himself to the taxi, this is not what we would call a good service.
I would definitley not go to this hotel on my next stay in singapore, which is because of the negative points i have mentioned above.
I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or colleagues as well.
I think they can improve on the above mentioned points such as dirtyness and unfriendly staff as they are charging a whole lot of money for the stay in a dirty little room, and above all having unfriendly staff all over the hotel. They should use the money to pay for a renovation and a training for their staff.
Since my husband and I travel a lot we have experienced different hotels in different parts of the world (Singapore is the 28th country in the world that we have visited), we can definitley judge what good service and cleaniliness of a hotel should be like and this was not found here.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Arab Street is just around the corner (near Sultan Mosque)

Understaffed causes long queues, no free internet. (at least the wireless internet does work).
I stayed here in Feb 2009, and returned on the basis that it is so close to City Hall (walking distance) and it is right near Bugis on SMRT line to/from airport. I reluctantly tolerate the long queues, the predominantly subcontinent guests who were predominantly rude at the check-in, the long check-in queues, and the very expensive wifi internet access. See my early review as to why I don't eat at this restaurant - better options elsewhere.
Restaurant Tip : Plenty of restaurant options around City Hall, so catch the SMRT (or walk to) City Hall and enjoy.

Slow check-n
Dingy rooms
pathetic Pool
Don't stay here. Your first experience in the dull lobby(which looks like a run-down downmarket shopping mall)is to wait 20 mins behind a line of only 2 people waiting to check in. And then they take 5 mins to tell you that your choice of room isn't available.
When you eventually get to your room it turns out to be a little beige-and-brown box, infinitely depressing, with a bathroom you can barely turn round in.
For the same money you can stay at another hotel in the same chain.. the Changi Village hotel. No comparison
Restaurant Tip : A great location close to Arab St and Bugis. There's an excellent turkish restaurant at the other end of Arab St to the hotel. Also great Muslim places, popular with the locals, just round the corner.

Well located with easy access to shopping areas, food easily available. Vary spacious room and with a good panaromic view of the city. Supported by friendly and certious human capital.
Comply with early check-in request at 1030 hours. Mr. Sara FOA gave excellence customer service skill, a friendly and approachable person. Walked the extra mile. Room with good ambiance. The room rate is good value for money. Well equiped facilities. Will not hesitate to recommend to future travelers, contacts package tours and travel agents to choose Golden Landmark as their Official Hotels
Restaurant Tip : Go for northern Indian cuisine (Beriani & Murtabak) at Zam Zam or Victory Rest. Not forgeting afforadable western and continental food eg fish & chips, wantan noodles at Banquet @ Raffles Hospital
