Cosy hotel - located near town
The bed was very comfortable

Check in was rather fast as they had a lot of staff at the reception. The room and bed was nice but a little small. The only drawback for the stay was that they were slow to allocate us a table for breakfast even though there were many empty tables. Think they were shorthanded.

Good hotel along a clean river

i move from ibis bencoolen after i found that the hotel did not meet my expectation. this hotel is much better and cleaner. the overall package price offer better value.

Great hotel with superb location

Lovely location. Close to clarke and lot of restaurents to go around to. You will never get boared of walking in the streets surrounding the hotel.

Great place to stay near the river
The staff at the executive floor are simply awesome

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Grand Copthorne. We stayed in the executive floor with 1 bedroom suite. All the staff, from the housekeeping to the concierge were so accommodating and very nice. We felt like VIPs. We love the room and the amenities that came with it. If you simply want to relax and enjoy bonding moments with your loved ones, stay in this hotel. Accessible to places of interest ALS

i found this hotel rather limiting because of the lack of amenity in the lobby area.
there is no lounge and no adequate seating around the lobby.
i had friends meet me at the hotel and there was nowhere for us to sit and talk, have a drink, some light food etc.
we had to move on to another, nearby hotel to get these facilities.
even if the property sees itself as primarily a business hotel rather than for general tourism, this is a mistake as my experience is that a lot of meeing/greeting, and business, happens in these areas of hotels.
just providing a restaurant isn't enough.

good business hotel with good gym and pool

we were checked in early at no charge and upgraded to an executive club room which was great. using the business centre for my meeting was easy and perfect for my needs. the dining options didn't appeal to us as a couple but would be fine for a business traveller. our check out time was extended at no charge on our day of departure which was appreciated also.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This hotel is away from the busy areas of Singapore but is well set up for business travellers. Just bear in mind that to get to shopping other than the Great World City Mall up the road or attractions you will need to catch cabs.

we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the grand copthorne,it is a very smart hotel with a great riverside location,
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
spend some time sitting by the river with the locals outside the rear of the hotel or ask the concierge to arrange a water taxi for you.

it's nice hotel and very tidy, clean and there are kind staff.
they also have very good environment around the hotel...there are shopping mall, many nice restaurants and cafes near the hotel.
But one thing i disappointed that sound proofing is not good..so i couldn't sleep well coz many noisy chinese people from china..it's really terrible...
Restaurant Tip:
there are many western, japanese restaurants near the hotel...even though you don't like to have local food you haave a lot of choice..

refurbished rooms and free upgrade

comfortable stay with a view of the city and the singapore river. was provided a free upgrade in a refurbished room. room service was efficient, didn't have to wait long for dinner. breakfast selection was good with even some japanese food served.
