Close to nice walk along the river precinct

we found the reception staff and executive welcome very , very good . site location is great . concierge very good for transport with drivers . swimming pool and gym area are clean and pleasant .

We loved it and intend to go back to same hotel. Very clean and safe city not to mention the people were very helpful and friendly - they really went out of their way for us.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Got to Sentosa by cable car.

Good situation on the riverside within easy reach of most things.

On arrival we were given a room with no bath and on asking were immediately upgraded to a room with a bath at no extra charge. This 'superior' room was exactly the same size as the other. Only difference was the bath. If we had paid for a superior room we could have had breakfast included but these were the only differences we could see.
Staff very helpful without being intrusive
Hotel Feature Tip:
Booked breakfast when we arrived and had a $20 reduction at check-in desk. Great breakfast with lots of choices.

it's not far away from mrt and bus station, which lets you reach all shopping malls and attractions in less than 20 minutes. besides that behind the hotel is the quay with plenty of restaurants, pubs and bars. it's just a 10 min walk and along the quay. directly behind of the hotel lies also the trendy in-club zouk.

we booked a room after our rom. the room is excellent, very clean and spacious, comes with large lcd tv and designer sofa, as if the whole room is furnished by a designer. the mattress and pillows are very comfy, though a bit too soft for my liking, but this depends on your preference.
the bathroom is really spacious and nicely designed, with a clean bathtub, comes with a separate shower room. just a comment on the retractable laundry line in the bathroom, the metal 'catch' for the line is fitted upside down.
not too familiar with the tv programs, but mostly are documentaries, very few entertainment programs.

Excellent Hotel

My stay at the Copthorne Grand was first class. The hotel is in a quiet location a short taxi ride from Orchard Road. The restaurant beside the river was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. The staff were happy and smiling all the time and went out of their way to make my stay as plesant as possible. The concierge Jocyelne was particularly helpful, obtaining information for me in her own time. I would congratulate the management of the Hotel for the way they treat their staff and customers alike. I would have no hesitation in reccomending this hotel and will definetly return on my next visit to Singapore.

A bit surprise

It's a last minute booking and we availed 2 rooms. The hotel room is good. All beddings are at its finest and the staff are well very hospitable and serves you with a smile. It's just so surprising that per room the free breakfast is only for one person and we are expecting it to be 2 per room. I contacted the reservations regarding it but still they told me that its only for one person. That's the only surprising thing that I encountered upon staying here. Better yet they should put on the notes that it is only for one person that they serve the breakfast so that the next time guests would be that surprised. But though, we enjoyed the stay here.

Nice Hotel, Great Ambience

Generally a very nice hotel , the service is good , and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing we are not very happy about is the location of the hotel , which has quite a distance from the MRT station .
The interior of the room furnishings need to be changed ; the TV set is quite old , and the interior room does not look brand new.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
is quite near Chinatown which you can see some authentic Chinese restaurants around
