Great Customer Service
Hotel staff, from the greeters to the front desk were great
9.7
We booked an extra night at this property through Agoda.com. When I went to confirm with the front desk we were staying the clerk went out of his way to let us stay in our upgraded room (which they gave us without asking). It was great to not have to change rooms.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you like plants/flowers take the time to visit the Singapore National Orchid Garden - more varieties than you ever imagined

Nice hotel thats centally located.
Nice room---good breakfast

Had 3 night stay, hotel relatively inexpensive for Singapore, it was fairly well located and staff were attentive as they could be in busy reception.
Restaurant Tip:
Riverfront close by with lots of restaurant choices...but head to little India or Chinatown if you want good value for money.

服務一流的迷人酒店
A beautiful hotel near Singapore River.

This is the second times that I live in this hotel. Free shuttle bus in available in Orchard Road (Panagon) which facilitate the residents to enjoy their shopping there. However, the shuttle bus services stop too early (10 pm). If it stop at 11pm is better.

When i arrive, i ask for the nice view room, and they gave in the high floor, which turned out to be old rooms, which condition need to be upgraded in my opinion.

Good Hotel
The quay was right out the back door
9.7
Would definitely stay here again. Thought the hotel is a bit out of the way for transportation the quay is right out the back door. The hotel room was spacious - we got an upgrade without asking! The large bathroom and shower was a delight. The beds were comfortable.
Shopping Tip:
Little India is worth the trip if you want to stock up on Indian spices

Grand Copthorne Waterfront(?)
The hotel was overall good, with a good selection for breakfast and pastries. Security is quite alright as well
6.7
Overall satisfied. It wasn't very special but it was good enough. Maybe we were expecting too much. Rooms were impressively big and clean.

I booked the Grand Corpthone for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend and it was one of the most value for money 5 star hotel in the area. The room size was decent and the facilities were fine. Really nothing to complain about. If you like to party, Zouk is just next door. Literally steps away from the hotel lobby. Apart from that, the location of it really is a let down. But of course, it has nothing to do with the staff. Recommend for a cheap weekend getaway in a reasonably priced hotel.

I question the 5-star rating
6.7
On the whole, I would say that Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel was adequate in terms of room, food, service and facilities. The room had a great view of the river, and the hotel is just next to Zouk, which was convenient for clubbing. However, it would be a real stretch to rate it as a five star hotel. Room is small, fittings are old, wall paper is peeling, tiles are chipped, pool is tiny... I would give it a higher grading if it was rated as a four star hotel, but compared to other five star properties in Singapore, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel really pales in comparison.
Nightlife Tip:
Find out when a top international DJ is playing at Zouk, and book a room :)
