Does not feel like a 4-star hotel

while the hotel room wasn't bad, it was a bit expensive and definitely did not feel like a 4-star hotel. i think this hotel may have been a 4-star when it opened, but it needs renovations if it wants to continue calling itself a 4-star hotel. overall, we did not feel this hotel is worth the money and would not recommend it.
pros: the rooms were relatively spacious compared to the other singapore hotel we stayed at; the internet speed was decent; the sheets were clean; the shower had nice water pressure; and it was nearby a subway station.
cons: breakfast was very expensive, so we opted not to purchase it; rooms felt very old with a musty smell every time we entered; hallways were sprayed with a strong cologne smell to mask the musty old-building smell; termites which probably fell from an opening in the ceiling where the light fixture was would be all around the bathroom and sometimes in other parts of the room including the bed.

Great location but small rooms

As with most hotels in Singapore, this one is over priced for what you get. Rooms are relatively larger than most other hotels in the city, but for the price, not particularly fantastic.
Location of the hotel is great, central and easily accessed.

needed to be at raffles convention centre. this hotel was just 5 min. walking and at a very good price. also near cathedral, bot quay, clark quay. next time i would stay here again !

Hotel is over priced but then so are all hotels in Singapore. Rooms are an OK size. Great location tho, in the city centre which is convenient for most business trips.

Great deal on this hotel stay. Price paid was definitely a great bargain for Singapore and this hotel in particular.
Rooms are standard sized not smaller than average like most hotels in the price range. Free internet was a huge plus as most hotels over charge for the service. The location of the hotel was also very central which made it easy to get around by foot, MRT and also taxis.

Subway station in 5 minutes on foot. Best location in the downtown Singapore. For our first visit to Singapore, this is the correct choice. And hotel boy is very helpful.
