Excelent location. Near City Hall MRT station u can go everywhere u want.Nice poolo with jacuzzi
Even if i had a de luxe room, the room itself was very small.
I travel for business most of the times and i bring with me a lot of stuff so i need a big room at a reasonable price, this was not the case but i really like the location that is basically close (thanks to MRT) to all major interesting places in town.

- Right in downtown area
- Lots of shopping & resataurants nearby
- Lots of nightspots in the night to go to
- they keep forgetting to give newspaper in the morning.
- they don't provide complimentary drinking bottled water in the room
- They only give 1 set of toiletries and slippers in the room despite we checking in as 2 person.
The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the downtown area in the civic district. There're many shopping belts in the vicinity like Raffles City, Suntec City and Funan centre. Accessible to all nightspots and eating places. The rooms are very comfortable and pleasant. There are many bus stops and the trains to get you to anyway in town from where the hotel is. The area is part of the old civic district with many cultural icons and buildings and places of interest to visit. Check with the concierge.
Hotel Feature Tip : As they don't provide bottled water in the room, buy a large bottle at the 7-eleven at the shopping mall beside the hotel. Saves you money than to buy off the mini bar in the room.

Nice bed and room with everything you really need.
The staff were very helpful and carried out any requests quickly and happily. Close to MRT and lots of good food outlets. Good swimming pool and spa.
Pool water was too warm. Room internet was too expensive.
We arrived late but the staff were very kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything that you need. We requested a few things which were delivered quickly and without argument.
It is in a good central location within walking distance to Clarke Quay, Fort Canning, Mrt, Raffels, Buggis, and near a supermarket and good food outlets. We would stay there again.
Restaurant Tip : Funan Centre across the street, has a good food hall with good cheap food both western and local, and a supermarket.

Good location, many restaurant, center of city
This hotel is close to city hall MRT station. You can see many thing to walk around. The room is normal but too small. Internet is a little slow. I recommend to upgrade the room to Deluxe for good stay.
Restaurant Tip : You can see Raffles city.(5 min by foot)There is many restaurant and shopping shop.

Rooms dated, musty smell and staff very unwelcoming.
We booked this hotel after reading reviews on trip advisor. On arriving at the hotel we were shown to a small room with a very claustraphobic bathroom (no seperate shower and mould growing all around the bath). The smell in the room was unbearable but we unpacked, too tired after a 9 hour flight, to do anything else. After a phone call home, without out knowledge, my mother contacted the hotel directly and we received a call from the management saying we were being moved and upgraded with sincere apologies for any inconvennience caused.Very nice we thought - and yes, the room was much nicer with a better bathroom and no smell. However, the next day we were invaded by ants and calls to reception were met with a very frosty attitude. Pest control came and also made us feel like we were trouble causers. All in all it made for a very unpleasant start to our honeymoon. We are now at Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and realse what a real 5 star hotel should be like. If you are after location then this hotel will suit - but for anything else - forget it!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't miss the night safari, it was excellent!

I like the area and surrounds and its convenient position to the underground and shops and air port. The entrance to the Hotel is welcoming and Staff, Porters in particular, friendly and helpful
I was disappointed as there was no separate shower and except for a newer TV, the room was not as nice as the previous and the carpet was almost shabby, though clean. The offer of a light breakfast would have been appreciated.
I found it very helpful that we could have a late check out and enjoyed relaxing in the spa and pool. The gown and slippers provided for this were most useful. The Gym is most impressive and would be good to see more people using it. The buffet meals available looked very nice but too pricey in my opinion. I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel and hope to be able to return ; providing charges remain reasonable.
Travel tip : Pleasnt area to walk about, close to Buges Street Markets, well worth a visit.

Price, Location, Cleanliness
Not the prettiest views from the room
The hotel is really conveniently located near the intersection of the NS and EW MTR lines (Stop: City Hall) and fairly central for most of the major sights and activities. The rooms were simple but clean and well furnished and certainly good value for money given some of the comments I've seen about similarly-priced hotels in Singapore. We were told our room had been upgraded to a larger size than we booked - it was certainly bigger than a lot of 'standard' rooms. We were on Floor 9 which had semi-reasonable views of the skyline but directly overlooked the plant area of the opposing building which spoilt it a bit. Reception provided us with a free city map although I didn't get the impression there was anyone particularly suitable to ask for general advice on recommended activities or sights. Minibar prices were the usual, i.e. high and more palatable if you're on expenses. Didn't eat as breakfast wasn't included in our rate but would hazard a guess that it was in line with the rest of the hotel's standards.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Fort Canning Park is opposite the hotel and if you wander up through it, it makes a reasonable walking route to Orchard Rd if you're heading there to shop.

We have checked into this hotel many times. Each time the hotel never failed to make us feel good. They upgraded us to Deluxe Room on our last check in. Hotel is clean. Staff are friendly. Beds are good and comfortable. We always have good nite sleep in this hotel. There's a food court just across the road and its a 10mins walking distance to Clarke Quay.
Nightlife Tip : 10mins walk to Clarke Quay.

Beautiful Reception area, polite and courteous staff, lovely rooms, excellent service. Really good location too.
We had a really good time in Singapore and when we return we will definitely return to this hotel. My daughters were stunned by the Reception Area. Breakfast was excellent and even as vegetarians we found plenty to eat and they don't understand vegetarians in Singapore. We felt really pampered here and enjoyed our stay immensely.
The pool was lovely and my daughter who is expecting a baby cooled off in there every afternoon we were there. The water was just the right temperature.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Open top sightseeing buses can be accessed at the stop just round the corner near the Cathedral.

Good service, very nice rooms, comfy beds, good selection of tv channels.
The bathroom was a little too small and water kept getting onto the floor. The room also was constantly too cold.
For the value of the price you paid you got an awesome deal. The hotel is right in the city center so it was so easy to access the city hall station MRT. And plus it was like five minutes away from clark quay too. Very close to raffles shopping center and surrounding malls.
Nightlife Tip : Both clark quay and boat quay are awesome places to go and have a good time.

Near City Hall MRT station
Close to Fort Cunning jogging course
Ordinary room, mediocre service
The hotel is located conveniently close to the City Hall MRT station and Raffles City shopping mall. Right next to Funan Center where all of computer gadgets are available and so as a nice foodcourt. Another great thing for this hotel is that my favorite jogging trails in Fort Cunning is just 5 minutes away, where you can enjoy nice and quiet Singapore forest in the middle of the city.
The hotel room is just regular and nothing special but what do you expect? It is a business hotel in the city. Nice and clean, that's enough.

Good location, Decent rooms & friendly reception staff
The entrance is not bad but can be improved as this is the first impression clients get.
This hotel can be recommended because of its price paid specially in Singapore & the comfort of rooms etc. Its worth the price. The room was clean & no bad smells etc. The corridors can be kept a bit more better with carpeting & the edges etc. But that is no big problem to guests. I would definitely stay at this hotel if my budget range is the same. As the room is quite large & comfortable the bathroom too is well kept & large.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you are coming out of the Novena MRT please take the right turn after the ticket machine then when you walk across you will get three exits take the middle one & come out of the station. Turn right again & walk straight for about another 5 minutes no crossing of main roads just walk straight. You cant see the hotel from the Novena station but its not very far.

Good location near Raffles tower, Funan Shopping complex. Not far from Orchard road and China town.
We liked the Bar, two different entertainer groups.
Los Picantes - 3 guitars+voc. Duo with piano + voc.
Fire station not too far from the hotel. But for us not a big problem.
We spent four nights only in April 2009.
The lady went shopping in the surroundings. Raffles City, Saint Andrews Cathedral, City Hall, Esplanade, Marina Promenade, Queen Elizabeth Walk
Asian Civilisation Museum are in walking distance.
After dinner we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the Bar, sipping a Singapore Sling and listening to some fine music.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Esplanade
Marina Promenade
Queen Elizabeth Walk

Central location to many sites and very close to the City Hall MRT makes it a great place to stay if sightseeing. Bed was very comfortable and always had an excellent nights sleep.
The central location was very nice and reduced the amount of time traveling to the waterfront area. Also with the MRT station right around the corner was also very time reducing. Housekeeping was very good in cleaning our room in a timely manner. All in all a nice stay and would book again if I needed a central location in Singapore.

hotel is very close to famous spots and shopping strret. Easy to access by any means. Staffs are cooperative and friendly.
not enough garden or free space, you may feel lack of good environment outside the hotel
expensive but I enjoyed stayed.
