The budget hotel provides 89 comfortable guestrooms and an ideal location close to Singapore’s many commercial and tourist areas. The Hotel 81 Bugis is conveniently situated within walking distance of the shopping hubs of Bugis Junction, Orchard Road, and Marina Square. Guests are also within walking distance of the Singapore National Library, Shaw Towers, Suntec City, Singapore Management University, and Raffles City. Guests can walk to the Esplanade and Fort Canning Park which provides local and international acts. Just a five-minute drive away is the drinking establishments of Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. There are also many food vendors surrounding the area, serving a variety of local dishes.

Hotel is spacious and clean Location is a bit too far from the lrt station Hotel 81 Bugis is clean and spacious except for the price during peak season is too high. It's double!! Desk service is good and quick.

Clientel The hotel was very well located near to the Raffles Hotel, shops and Marina. It was also located near to the meeting point for all of the organised trips. I think the hotel is suitable for a one night stay only as the standard rooms are so small you cant even fit your suitcase in and there are no wardrobes.
The bathroom is tiny and the shower is a hose in the wall with no covering so basically you shower on the floor.
There is major construction work going on next door which started at 8.00am - 6.00pm therefore we had to be moved rooms 4 times.
During the evening periods rooms were rented to passing clientel by an hourly rate, take of that what you will !!
This is listed as a hotel, although I think it should be classed as a hostel. For a 1 night stay fine, anything longer I would really re-consider.

Good location, just opposite Intercontinental Hotel Plastic beds, lots of mirrors, a picture of a naked lady on the wall and no window in std room Th location is good and if you do not book it during the F1 weekend, it should be quite well priced. This time I was not so lucky and paid USD 114.- for a room without a window. This is the price you have to pay if you want to be close to the F1 action ;-)
