The Hotel 81 Elegance is ideally situated directly across from the Lavender Food Court, which is internationally famous for its delicious local food served around the clock. Located on the north end of Little India, the two-star hotel is about a ten-minute walk to the nearest metro-subway station, which will take guests to such famous tourist areas like Orchard Road and the Museum Belt of Bencoolen. Guests at the two-star hotel can enjoy the many food stalls across from the hotel that serve inexpensive delicacies such as roti and curry dishes.

next to food center and 7-11, frienly stuff
a bit far to MRT take 10 min.
If you compare with All Hotel 81, this is a one of the best branch. It locates in good area. Acceptable for family trip. These are many restaurants around Hotel that good and cheap as well as 7-11. MRT a bit far but still ok for walk 10 min. and 5min walk to main stadium.

Rooms looks clean. Aircond was wonderfully cold enough for Singapore. Got a room with a view (although ~30% of rooms doesnt have window). Free parking available.
The ventilation will somehow spread cigratte smoke around, so can smell it when someone smokes in other room. Small rooms, but hey, this is Singapore. Limited to 4 parking lots or so.
Checked in around 2.30 pm in time for the last parking slot. Wont fancy getting a place if arrived late, and will have to pay the exorbitant parking rates in Singapore. MRT is ~10mins away by foot.

It was close to the facilities such as train station, shopping centres etc.
The empolyees need training how to deal with the guests and they should improve their business strategy of attracting guests.
People choose to stay at hotels to have some rest and peace of mind.Some times you get early from cheking time and some other times you check in late. It is not fare to say to some one who gets bit early not to chekc in or to pay extra for each hour before cheking in time when the room is available. I understand that i f the room is not available then you can explain the situation. On the other hand after booking a hotel when you chekc in late, the guset does not ask for refund for the hours he did not use. To be suuceesful in business, one should not be greedy. You cannot make profit by loosing or distracting a customer.
