Basic, clean and functional

I have stayed at H81 in Geylang before, know what to expect.
Hotel location is great along geylang Rd, and easy access to cheap and good food. Transitoptions to the rest of the island are great, several busses run along geylang Rd. Only an 8-10 min walk to the MRT for quick and cheap transit to Airport
rooms in this hotel are basic, but clean and comfortable, good showers, wifi in room. The staff are ok, unless they had a bad morning...
The area might be a little intimidating for the unexpecting traveller, this is after all a red light district. The solo male traveller might be approached with offers, but not in a pushy or aggressive way.
Good value for the money for a short stay

I stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel is nice and clean. The bedroom is good. The customer service is also good. However, it's unsuitable for children / girl. Location not far from MRT (walking distance). Overall, I'm satisfied. Nice budget hotel.

while the hotel is in one of the more 'interesting' areas of singapore, the hotel is more than adequate to use as an overnight stop. the location is pretty equidistant between city and airport and near to the mrt while a taxi for those with loads of luggage doesnt cost the earth.
i love singapore but struggle to find good value accommodation, yet here we have a hotel that wont break the bank if you can accept the salubrious practices that go on around. saying that the area is safe.
the rooms are sufficient should you just want somewhere to rest your head. it was clean, shower was good and the aircon worked - what more does one need for an overnight stay?
front desk team friendly and yes i would stay here again
