I stayed in this Hotel during transit in Singapore , Price was ok and it was near(30min by taxi - SGD10 ~ 15) to Airport, I missed the flight cos i over slept after going out till late with some friends so I ended up staying two nights , next night was the same price and rooms were available . I read some mixed reviews but I am satisfied with this Hotel. Small room , with TV and a small Bathroom , TV , Telephone , A/C , Hairdryer , disposable tooth brushes. Coffee , bottled water ... I would say its value for Money , and the location was convenient , close to MRT and lot of shops around to buy food and some internet cafes nearby ..

I thought that the price was in-expensive. This hotel is not really clean. The room is cigarettes smoke smelling and there were a lot of ants. This was my first experience in Hotel 81 in Singapore. Booking and check-in was not any problem. The room was dirty smelling to cigaret smoke. I thought that it is not allowed to smoke in hotel rooms in Singapore? But for a one star clas hoy=tel I cannot expect much quality.

the service is good, the room is good, and the price is good its far from MRT..i have to walk 20-30 minutes from MRT.. this hotel81 is a good place to stay for 59 sing dollar, a nice hotel, they have HBO channel, hair dryer, towel, and its also clean. The staffs also friendly and helpful. but if you want to watch the television, the placement of the TV is not ergonomic, if you stay to watch longer, it will cause pain in your neck.
but overall its a good and worth to stay hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Changi Beach is a nice beach and clean,..you should go there..and you can rent bicycle for 2 hours 6 sing dollar. if you want to have lunch, just go to changi village only 5 minutes on foot away.

very difficult to get parking near the hotel, many lounge with many foreign working ladies as usual hotel 81 offered a clean and cheap room which really worth the money. the only setback is that the room is rather small. the place is not quite suitable for family vacation but if for buisness or transit purposes will be fine. overall the hotel are recomended for traveler who just need it for rest and sleep.

Checked-in was fast, you just showed your Agoda print out and they immediately checked you in. The room needs to be airy, too small, depends on what you like but if you are a single woman traveling alone you might not feel comfortable walking around the area especially in the evening. I intended to stay for one night only before moved to another hotel that was reserved for a few more nights. I did not hang around much in the area, I checked in, left the hotel all afternoon and returned in the evening just to sleep only before checking out the next morning.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel looks like an old building which is fascinating.

Comparatively cheap hotel. Very, very noisy. Seedy area. I chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest available. I was arriving after midnight so I only needed to stay for 6 or 7 hours. The hotel is in a seedy area of Singapore. There is no soundproofing and the loud music from outside and the loud Christmas music playing in the corridor kept me awake most of the night. The bathroom was substandard too.

The location is very accessible. A few meters is a bus stop. Though it is along the red light district you wont get lost in finding the location.
If you're in transit, I recommend this hotel for you .

Responsive customer service. Flatscreen TV. clean. smoke smell. very small. bad bed. The room was very small. I really liked the wall mounted flatscreen TV as I've been in similar budget hotels where we have to share the small space with a big TV. There was a heavy smoke smell. The air-con didn't work at the beginning. When told of the smoke smell and the air-con the staff there was very responsive and fixed the situation.
Highly recommended for short term stays, we were only there for 2 nights. The double bed was very uncomfortable and saggy.
Anything more than that might be annoying!

Easy to get to the airport by taxi. The hotel is about 15 mins walk to MRT station. Room is small and the toilet was still wet from the previous guest. Not recommend to family with kids or elderly.

Value for money, conveniently located, good service I found the hotel to be fairly good. It offers excellent value for money and is well located as well. The hotel staff were courteous and well informed. The breakfast could be a little better though!

good english speaking staff, very efficient registration. room are clean and nice. the tv is LCD and the bathroom are very clean. room is a bit small but after all you just need a place to sleep. The front counter staff are effiecient during registration and once i show my passport,it take less than a minute for me to get the room key. The room is very clean with the necessary utensil like cup and kettle. The TV is LCD that make you feel like you are in a 3 star hotel room.The bathroom are clean with a nice tile and you can never run out of hot water. overall its an excellent budget hotel
