away from heavy traffic, quiet. We were quite satisfied with our choice. Stayed four nights and slept well. Hotel was renovated, staff is friendly and helpful. Room free of any bad odor and clean. What a bargain. Bus station
only 200 meters away with good connection to the MRT. We definitely will book again, but then we take the deluxe room, because the standard is really small.

Always clean is the best feature of this one. Amenities should be considered. We two are in hotel wth one bottle of water only? We will back here for next many times. Taking buses, MRT, taxi are so easily and conviniently. It is very calmly and not crowded
Restaurant Tip : Chinese and Muslim foods can be easily found here.

Near to the road. Staff very cooperative and helping. 10 to 15 minutes walk from Kallang METRO station. The hotel is very close to Geylang Road. Close to OPP MASJID HAJI MOHD SELLA BUS STOP.
From airport it costed me S$14 for taxi.
Travel tip : From airport take METRO and get off at ALJINID station. Take bus numbers 62 or 100 going in south direction and get off at OPP MASJID HAJI MOHD SELLA bus stop. Walk around 100 to 200 mtrs to the hotel.

The room was very clean and tidy.
The internet connection had good bandwith and was a minimum fee.
The room was perfect for one or two adults. You can hear guests talking as they wait for the elevator.
The bed was neatly made, but was as hard as a rock.
The pillow cases were made from disposable paper. This particular Hotel 81 was in the heart of Geylang, and was very convenient and within walking distance from many shops and restaurants. The price I received from Agoda was hard to turn down, so I was able to save money for other entertainment avenues.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There were many sites to behold just within walking distance of this hotel.

one bedroom with minimal facilities everyone get this hotel easy. bus stop is near hotel. within 10 minutes walking, you get MRT station. Cost is every low. you can easy to get pretty local food around this hotel.

Hotel 81 now with ADSL at room is good idea. It is very convenience to guests who want to surf or check mail. Stop supplying instant noodle for breakfast with promtion as decreasing the price should not at the same time. I stay in 81 Hotel for many times and I will be here as in Singapore. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Staff is polite that makes guests feel warm as in their own home. Easy to get bus and MRT from here, especially many food courts with various good dishes from chinese, indian,.. at reasonable price surely make you satisfied.
Nightlife Tip : Just on foot you can have any meal at any time.

Convienence to get food and public transport I reached the hotel at 10.00am, and i tried to check in. The reception refused to let me check in and instead ask me to pay a fee for early check in. I find this quite absurd and its not like their hotel is fully booked and if you have empty rooms just let me check in.
Cleanliness is a suspect at this hotel. and their fixtures in the room needs to be more well maintained. Their rooms is not much sound proof and i can hear lots of sound from the doorway people walking, opening doors, bell ringing and also keys dangling.
I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Lots of food and public transport available near this hotel.

the hotel was near to the town,convinence to travel;plentty of food stall surronding and it is to get food.fair pricing for a standard room. the cleanliness was little dissapointed, can find crokcoches arround. the water flowing in the bath room was no working good. as a bagpacker it maybe a good choice with a reasonable price. a private room with a bath room.
but the cleaness of the room could have better if would to compare to other same range of hotel in singapor.the service was quite nice. overall staying it was satisfiying.i would hope it will improve more on the cleanliness.
Nightlife Tip : plenty of food and night life around that area.
can easily take a bus to the city not necessary to walk to mrt station.

It had everything a two star hotel should have. Location;they say they are within easy access to the airport.Maybe,20 min by taxi,but that means that many more hotels are within the same range. Cover missed in the ceiling where the ventilation was and had probably been missing for a long time-my guess.
Geylang-at least this neighborhood-is not a very pleasant place to spend your evening at.But it is okay if you just need a place to stay overnight.

Aircon, Attached bathroom, water boiler, free mineral water, close to restaurants Room was a bit smokey. There is not food or drinks in the hotel availble. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived too early but I could check in without any further payment and they even gave me a room with a window as I requested through Agoda. They mentioned this without me telling them again. The hotel is a 10 min walk to MRT and outside of the hotel there are many Chinese Restaurants adn fruit stalls. Also seven elevens are there.
The internet costs 10$ for one day which is a very good price in comparison the the other hotels in the region. You should ask for internet when check in. Some rooms do not have a cable. The internet is pretty fast.
Restaurant Tip : Chinese Restaurants in fron of the door.

the best thing is that it is really cheap. if ur intention is to go around singapore den definitely can choose this hotel as u wont be spending much time there. won't feel like being in a red district area but still better be careful especially for girls.very polite, friendly and helpful staff. It is really not near to the MRT station especially after a whole day walk in singapore. check out time is at 12pm not 3pm as mentioned. very dirty linens and dusty. really dirty but nothing much can be done. a bit noisy if stay at low floors.poor room service. The price of the hotel and the availability is the only reason to consider this hotel. otherwise nothing is good enough. The nearest MRT station which is Kallang is about 10-15 minutes walk away and it was hard to locate the hotel when we first went there. Quite safe area but still better be careful. Staff were helpful and provided some good advise on where to go. I would only recommend this hotel only if the stay in the hotel is at minimum just for rest and sleep only. No minibar and beverages are not provided also. Room is really really very very dirty. choose the other branch of hotel 81 in chinatown, which is just right opposite the road of chinatown MRT station. it is really tiring to walk from the station to the hotel after one whole day of walking around singapore. One thing bad about singapore is that no seats are provided in shopping mall or along the roads of major tourist attraction which makes resting a bit difficult.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Plan ur trip well according to the arrival/check in and departure/check out time. travelling around is really easy and comfortable but takes some time and time is precious. ask for help on which station to take the MRT and which to arrive as the name is decieving and sometimes it is further away den u think by following the map.

good service and clean room not good location and far from pubilc transportation This hotel is good for budget traveller with proper room and facility for this rate of charge as well as good service. Anyway, the location is not the best for tourist who want to use local transportation and quite long distant for walking to MRT station. The most convenience way to travel is by bus but as one way route. Near to the airport but also not far from the centre of shopping centre in Sing'or.

ac n hot water is good i know this hotel from agoda n i got very good price.location is near from changi mrt to kallang mrt,just accross the street and walk bout 5 to 10 minutes,nice n helpfull staff,easy to find food.people say geylang area is a red light district of singapore but its just fine if u just sleep there for 1 or 2 night,i also bring my 3 years old boy n its all fine.
Hotel Feature Tip : its a red light district but its fine if u wanna fine a nice budget hotel just for sleep.

Clean, Good service, value for money Too far from nearest MRT Kallang, Not suitable for family stay, Small rooms After making several trips to Singapore I consider my self quite an expert. This hotel is the ideal choice if you are looking for a cheap place and if you are not planning to spend much time in the room. But if you are travelling with children please go somewhere else as this hotel is situated in the middle of red light district. But surroundings are not very threatening. The MRT is quite far from hotel but if you are familiar you can always get a bus. Other than these it's a very convenient place to stay specially if you are travelling alone.
