clean environment , good customer service, safe and sound . All special request were noted. I have been to many hotels locally and i still feels that hotel 81 still provide the best accomodation be it whether its in the suburban area or in town. You will not regret.

Can't beat the price of the hotel. The staff was very helpful The shower did not have hot water after 8.00PM
The Hotel Name of the Property did not show up clearly on the signs. No Remote on TV and limited selections on TV. $10.00 charge for Internet was excesive for this day in age, of free wi fi I was very suprised at the hotel after reading some of the reviews prior to booking the room. The service personal were very helpful. The room was not as small as many people made it out to to be, had much smaller rooms in more expensive hotels. What was lacking were the size of the bath towels, which were designed for babies. The bed was very comfortable. I was on the 7th floor and it was very quiet. It was a short walk to the MRT, but cabs were easy to find. It is a good place for 1 or 2 night stay.
The $10.00 per night charge for use of internet this day in age was a bit too much, since in this day in age, most places it is a free service.
I would recommend it for a short stay. You have to remember it is a budget hotel so not to expect a 5 star or even a 3 star hotel

generally speaking,everything is ok,the price and the equipment are all ok.but the room is too small and the air is not very good.As to the environment around the hotle ,it is not very good,have no big market.but,it is nearby the MRT station,just about ten minutes walking.

It's suitable for cost,centre many kind of food and transpotation are well, the reception is friendly.. I'd like it and will back soon.. We'll come again if have a chance so its perfect for cost.. The options in room is nessecsary such as electric pot, internet cable is prefer for $ 10 per day..The air-condition is very cool.. Pls. add more banklet... well 5 stars feedback...
Restaurant Tip : Many kinds of foods such as chinese food thai food are near Kallang MRT 300 metres by walk so include supermarket

The room too Small, No fridge Overall was satisfied. The hotel located near MRT station. Walking distance about 10 mins. It is very convenience. There are a lots of hawker stall & restaurant around. The room was clean although is quite small. The staff there also friendly & helpful. If you are looking for budget hotel, I suggest this.

the people who works there is friendly and quite helpful in providing local info was very noisy on saturday night it was my first time to visit singapore and found this hotel 81 via Agoda. little did i know that this hotel located in the red-light district. but then, it was not too bad to see the local place and it's not seem to be dangerious. the hotel people were nice. the hotel is cheap so no need to expect too much on the facilite... at least it was still reasonbly clean. easy to travel to other places.

Cheap. Have all the basic necessities. No cabinet. Pillows are with disposable cover. The hotel is reasonably clean. Quite a distance from the MRT though. Geylang area doesn't look sleazy, though a red-light district. Good service. Good view. It is very cheap and has all the basic necessities. It even has toothbrush and hair dryer, which a lot of budget hotels do not provide. However, there's no cabinet and the pillow cases are disposable types. It doesn't have a good carpet for you to wipe your feet though (after coming out of the bathroom).

Food places, convenient stores and public transport are all about 5-15 minutes walk away. The room is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient. Will not recommend anyone to get back to the hotel late or walk around the area when it's late as there are quite a number of relatively "weird" people around at night. Overall the hotel is very nice for the price you pay. It have all the basic need if you're not looking for anything fancy. Though not very spacious but if you're not going to spending a lot of time in the room, it would not really be a main concern. Other than not having a frige, which I find to be a little inconvenient at certain point of my stay, everything else is very good. There is a 7-eleven and convenient store just about 2 minutes walk away which was very good.

Friendly Staff esp the man names Sky Restaurant Tip : Many restaurants nearby. Near 711 and bus stop. And mrt station. Overall location not too bad except it is known as a red light area. But it was quite peaceful even though it may be a red light area

Friendly Staff.
Clean Sheets, comfortable bed and pillows.
Good airconditioning.
Lots of taxis and near kopi-tiams.
MRT a 15 minute walk. The toilets had visible green algae on the walls, floors and corners. The tap and shower head too.
The cupboard had all kind of stains on it and in it, that look like semen. The floors especially the edging was dirty too. Every local person and taxi driver that I spoke to was shock that i was staying at Lorong 16. This I was told is the 'red light' district. I was attending a 4 day seminar at The Expo and at night it became evident that it was such. If I had not paid the full amount in advance I would have probably moved out. I only booked into this hotel coz the hotel 81 changi had no online booking facility and palace seemed the next nearest option looking at the google map. It is a convenient place for food, taxis, mrt but not so safe for a woman on her own.

i like the service of front office, the cleaning service.
i don't know about anything else.. most of my time in s'pore is for bussiness trip The reception area, this should be a cozy enviro , because when we wait the taxi or else can enjoy and confort Mostly about the hotel when i stay in singapore is awesome, I mean the service and the room condition is not too bad, but I think it can be more enjoyable if the hotel have swimming pool, massage service, spa, or else that can be more service to spoiled guess like me. the taxi service or pick up service at the airport also can be more value added, well..not because of this hotel is not 4 sar hotel but this can be more additional service that can be upgrade.
Shopping Tip : don't try eat the food of india... totally hot stuff...

A very basic and small room. But then again its a budget hotel at very affordable price. Its very clean and has all the toiletries available.
