Friendly Staff.
Clean Sheets, comfortable bed and pillows.
Good airconditioning.
Lots of taxis and near kopi-tiams.
MRT a 15 minute walk.
The toilets had visible green algae on the walls, floors and corners. The tap and shower head too.
The cupboard had all kind of stains on it and in it, that look like semen. The floors especially the edging was dirty too.
Every local person and taxi driver that I spoke to was shock that i was staying at Lorong 16. This I was told is the 'red light' district. I was attending a 4 day seminar at The Expo and at night it became evident that it was such. If I had not paid the full amount in advance I would have probably moved out. I only booked into this hotel coz the hotel 81 changi had no online booking facility and palace seemed the next nearest option looking at the google map. It is a convenient place for food, taxis, mrt but not so safe for a woman on her own.

i like the service of front office, the cleaning service.
i don't know about anything else.. most of my time in s'pore is for bussiness trip
The reception area, this should be a cozy enviro , because when we wait the taxi or else can enjoy and confort
Mostly about the hotel when i stay in singapore is awesome, I mean the service and the room condition is not too bad, but I think it can be more enjoyable if the hotel have swimming pool, massage service, spa, or else that can be more service to spoiled guess like me. the taxi service or pick up service at the airport also can be more value added, well..not because of this hotel is not 4 sar hotel but this can be more additional service that can be upgrade.
Shopping Tip : don't try eat the food of india... totally hot stuff...

Great central location. Comfortable room.
everything not privide free...
The best part is its central location. City centre location, conveniently near to many major attractions and local transport networks. The hotel is comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. Hotel staff is friendly. The city has one free city circle tram and also one free city tour bus. Highly recommended to get a broad view of the city areas. Buffet at the hotel is excellent and good value. I would stay there again for my next trip.
Nightlife Tip : Good pub atmosphere at the Palmz at Calton Hotel first/fifth floor at Bourke street near the hotel.

Cheap price for Singapore
Location in a red light district
The hotel was clean. My room was on a higher floor which is used for longtime guests. The hotel was not very busy during my stay. The staff was very helpfull. No breakfast served. No restaurant, no pool, no bar ... Overall a satisfied stay since I was busy for sightseeing most of the time. Just a hotel to sleep. The area is very safe but not suitable for familys.

Clean, ok quality for the price.
Staff friendly and helpful
This is a budget hotel in the red light district. It was very uncomfortable for me, to walk these streets as I was constantly harrased. On the plus side, plenty of cheap shops and places to eat in the area.

- far from the main tourist area
- its located in the middle of the red light district
the hotel is a great budget hotel, cheap, clean, have internet, cable tv, etc....
i think one of the cheapest in town!
the worst is its about 10-15 minutes walk from the nearest mrt station!

Close to the night owl action
This is the best cheap in Singapore. A bit of a way from the MRT but close to the real cheap night life of Geylang. The hotel room is very small and you can't swing a cat around but I always feel safe there. Grab a beer at the Chinese Coffee store on the corner and watch the world go by
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out the Singapore Hash House Harriers - have a run, see a bit of singapore that you would not normally see and have a few beers afterwards. Runs every night

Cheap, close to lots of eateries
Apathetic staff, a place for by-the-hour stays in the red-light district, not terribly clean, bathrooms don't have separate showers
Ok, so if you're looking at this hotel, you're probably on a budget. Quite simply, this is a budget hotel. As far as hotels go, it's pretty darned cheap. It's not too too far from the Ajunlied MRT station - but there are closer Hotel 81 hotels. The hustle and bustle of the red-light district is worth-seeing and not dangerous, but how many days can you take it? Skanks, hoes of all color are available. And they've probably stayed in the hotel once or twice for "work". Hotel staff seems rather apathetic and not really willing to help. However, they did point me to the right bus stops, and that was useful. The location is very convenient for food, and in Singapore, you should definitely try to enjoy the cuisine. My hotel room didn't look nearly as clean as in the photo on this website. Or maybe you can look at those photos and add 10 years to them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the bus. There are lots of buses that pass nearby, and it's cheaper. And they're closer than Aljunied station.

quite cheap for Singapore hotels
To get a cheap hotel in Singapore it´s very good to book this hotel. Also it´s very close to hot and spicy nightlife on the streets around. People who like night adventures in red light area, they are good located. Also are a lot of different good restaurants around. It´s very special local colourit for people who like to see something different.
Hotel Feature Tip : To get a cheap hotel in Singapore it´s very good to book this hotel.

value for money, courteous service.walkable distance from nearest MRT
Good value for money , very good room comforts with ac, TV with compltet privacy. plenty of eating rooms by the road side. city roads are filled with city pros but a simple No is enough to evade them. Close to MRT and bus stops and city cabs are within easy reach. Situated Close to Little India and Orchard ; famous shopping cities.

Staff is nice and helpful, they provided me with everything i asked for e.g. extra pillow and towel etc. Price was cheap and near the restaurant
Geyland is a famous redlight area in Singapore so it make me feel a little bit shy when i was back hotel in mid-night (because we are 3 girls living there), so if all girls come back late I recommand you back hotel by taxi. (A bit far away from the MRT Station.)
You may many bag-packer in the Hotel.
Restaurant Tip : You may find many fishball noodles shop and peper Crab Restaurant near the hotel.

Has a lot of hookers and is in the dirtiest part of Singapore (which is still pretty clean compared with the rest of SE Asia)
There are plenty of hookers around the area but it's still relatively safe. There are also plenty of internet cafes nearby so staying connected won't be a problem.
There is a lot of good and cheap street food on every corner. It's located a good 10 minute walk from the Aljuneid MRT station.
The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. It's your standard budget hotel. The only quirk for Western travelers is that there is no divider between the shower and the toilet. So when you take a shower, everything gets wet.
