The Hotel81-Princess is a true value for money hotel located very near the Kallang station in Geylang. Regular buses directly connect the hotel to all major areas of Singapore, including Orchard Road and the Serangoon area. The hotel is ideal for tourists thanks to the easy access to banks, stores, pubs and small restaurants. Rooms are modestly furnished and functional rather than lavish, and are extremely comfortable and clean. Nearby Geylang Road and Sims Avenue are recommended for local dining and the beef noodle and soya bean dishes are amongst the best in town.

More constant hot water supply
The room is small but it has everything a traveler needs. Room is clean, presentable and it's really value for money.
Location wise, it's quite strategic. Stone's throw away from bus stops, eateries and convenience stores. A short 10 min walk to MRT stations which bring you directly to CBD (within 15-20 mins ride) and just one change of network line to Orchard road (no more than 25 mins tops)
Overall, value for money, clean and good location.

Custyomer service are good, flexible in the checking out .No disturbance , properly tidy and cleaniness is there.
This is my 2nd stay with this hotel and is almost perfect.Except for the surroundings the hotel inside is like you are staying a a 4 star hotel. Everything seems so comfortable. Good choice

I like the room cleanliness, crispy daily bedsheet, pillowcases and towels and attentive reception staff. Water pressure is good, hot and cold. Also, good airconditioning. The internet also is good at SGD10 per day. The hotel is close to train station and bus stops, taxis are easy to find, many eateries are nearby the hotel.
The room has no place to put the luggage, no shower curtain that makes the whole toilet wet and no chair even one. Also no bar soap and shampoo. The TV is high that makes your neck stiff while viewing.
Over all the hotel is more than good. At the prevailing price this is good value for money. Singapore is not a cheap place, hence one should not expect too much for that price. The so called red light district that oftentimes mentioned in the hotel reviews are exaggerated. The whole area should not be considered as that, there are only some establishment in the vicinity that have this hospitality girls. I do not even feel it, eventhough I passed by on some of these, as I was not bothered at all since they are not intimidating or persistent in their trade to would be client. Hotel 81 Princess is not in the Geyland Road where some night clubs or bars are located.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Instead of the "hop in hop on bus" that tour the city or places of interest, you may opt to buy an MRT ticket for one day (SGD8 + SGD10 deposit but refundable). You can use the 3 MRT lines plus SBS/MRT buses which also pass by on so many places of interest. This is cheaper than "HOP in HOP on" which sells at SGD23.
