location, ease of check in getting a taxi outside, although the front desk will call one no problem Ok, i've stayed at this hotel numerous times so i'm of course more than satisfied with place.
Rooms are small, yes, but sufficient for my needs.
Bathroom again small but meets my needs. overall the hotel is very clean and room staff do a good job.
Hotel has 11 basic tv channels, including HBO, ESPN and football channel, but why do you want to stay in watching TV anyway??

cheap, very clean rooms and quick check in i have stayed in various hotels in the hotel 81 chain and this is one of my favorites due to its location, 5 minutes to little india and Sim Lim, 15 minutes walk to boat quay.
Always a quick check in and the rooms are always clean and tidy on arrival. for good food, try the Nasi Lemak factory around the corner, superb rendang, rice and egg for $SG 6

This hotel was value for money. Very good location, near bus stop and a short walk to MRT station. The interior is nice and new. It will be much better if the hotel provided a mini fridge inside the room. If you are looking for a reasonable cheap accomodation, then I recommende you to give 81 selegie a try.

Walking distance to the train station If you're looking for just a place to put your stuff while you explore different places in SG, this isn't a bad choice. Just about 10min walk to the train station, about 15min walk to Sim Lim Square. It's just a small room but it's what you pay for. The room that we got had a very clean bathroom. There's also a cable provided for free internet. They charge you 1SG dollar for unlimited calls through the room phone.

Location, cleanliness, hotel stucture and decoration No lobby, the room is rather small The location of the hotel is convenient. Just a short walk from MRT Little India but the hotel's surrounding doesn't give you any vibe of Little India that much. 7-11 is right outside at the door steps as well as the bus stop. The interior is nice and new. Lobby, elevator, floor maintenance and inside the room is nicely done. Beds, sheets and bathroom are well kept. No refridgerator provided but that's not a big deal for us.

This hotel was ver near the MRT which is great! If you plan to spend all your time sightseeing then this might be a good place. The rooms are exceptionally small, and the bathroom area is Asian style (i.e., the shower is not separate but sprays in the same area of sink and toliet).

Close to Little India MRT; Price Bed was kinda hard; Small room Undoubtedly, the best thing about Hotel 81 Selegie, is the location. It's less than a 10 minute walk to Little India MRT. I'm American, so I'm use to the "Motel 6 standard", however, the room had a slightly hard bed, small room (which fits the bed), and an Asian style bathroom (no bathtub) which included a Western style toliet and wonderful water pressure. Be sure to bring your email voucher with you when you stay!
I travelled around all day so this hotel was quite acceptable. I should alos mention that the room had a flat screen television that had a few channels includng HBO. If I wanted more comfort which includes a softer bed and bathtub, and I had more money, then I would stay elsewhere. Ultimately, I wanted a budget hotel that was clean and close to the MRT , and this hotel met that particular condition. Be sure to bring your email voucher ;)

It's evry near MRT. I have walk to Little Indea MRT in a few mins. The room's clearn. The room's so small. The bathroom is not spearate wet from dry area and can't late check out. First time to arrive this hotel, It's look clean and staff friendly. I have walk to Little India MRT in a few mins pass back door this hotel. The room is clean and have 2 water bottles and Coffee in the room. Sure It have LCD TV in room. The hotel is not dining room but I can walk 1-3 mins to get foor around hotel.
So, You should be to control one's mind for get small bathroom. It's not spearate wet from dry area but not the big problem the bathroom floor is quite to quice dry.
Don't forget to check out in time. If you checked late they will be cherge you 10 Sing Dollar per Hrs.
Over all it's ok for budget hotel.
Restaurant Tip : From the hotel, you turn left and walk to albered and turn right on albered square and walk from that around 1-2 mins you can see food center on right hand. It's a good place for eating.

The rooms though small is functional and clean.Nestled between little India and orchard road and just across bugis where you can dine for cheap food,location is perfect. The reception room has no sofa,there should be one. The staff are okay and helpful.I got all my tips from them where and how to get cheap bargain in singapore(rather expensive city).Also a plus is the 7-11 store just a few meters from the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : staff are helpful but you have to ask them,they dont readily give out information,

Reception is good , we can check in earlier as normally 02.00 PM . The room is so small and no cooler. Hotel81 Selegie is located near Little India Station and we can walk to hotel about 10 minutes .and easy to go many place as Mustafa Department store , City Link , We suggest for some traveller who get limited money .
Shopping Tip : Mustafa is good department store for perfumes ( cheap than Airport )
