Great location but small rooms

Counter people are very accomodating.Room and amenities inside the room is just enough for a night stay for a traveller. Accesible to bus stop, taxis and trains.

good budget hotel

This place gets almost everything right, and does so at a great price.The room was small, but quite clean. People at the front desk were friendly and professional, and let us store our bags for the day when we checked out, which was convenient. They have plenty of security cameras, so we never felt unsafe. One nice thing was that everything worked: AC, everything in the bathroom, water pot, TV (not many channels, though). On the downside, the naugahyde mattresses are only covered by a single bedsheet, which makes them a bit uncomfortable. And a few roaches showed up, but it wasn't an invasion or anything. It's a great location: only about ten minutes by foot to the Aljunied MRT station. Also, there are plenty of decent restaurants nearby where you can get a meal that is quick, tasty, and cheap--certainly better than most hotel breakfasts. Yes, there are all sorts of brothels on this street, which is probably one reason why the hotel is so inexpensive. But everybody we saw acted reasonably. There wasn't any drunkeness, and the soliciting on the street (which I think is illegal) is quite low key. (With my kid in tow, I was never approached.) And our room was quiet at night. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Best value of money
Lowest price, good location, professional staff

One of the cheapest hotels in the country, but Hotel 81 Star showed a very good value of money. Room in good condition though a little small, good location just about 5 minutes from the MRT station. It was the second time we stayed in this hotel and we still enjoy it. We travel with the purpose that spend much money on shopping, not staying nor eating, and Hotel 81 Star always be the best choice. Around hotel is the food stores with cheapest price, only about but taste good. Compare to the last hotel at the same price we stayed in KL, Hotel 81 Star shows its professional with staff and check-in policy.

Cheep price hotel if you web booking, it is in hart of Singapore geylang - red district , so as view from window you may understand what to expect.Reception staff nice as well as daily manager.

overall if you looking for saving hotel at singapore then this is the right hotel for you to choose, 10 minutes walk distance to aljuned mrt station. a lot of food stall along the street and quite busy at midnight because its located at red district area.

Average hotel witihn well managed area of geylang
Well manage area at lorong 18, you will feel confortable while entering or exiting the hotel area. The hotel room was quite cleane with helpfull staffs.

lots of delicious hawkers and near to wellknow original no sign board seafood resto at geylang road.
