ok budget hotel in a ok location
got a swimming pool that you can access

It is easily accessible to orchard road. need a 15 minutes walk though. Bus and mrt is just close by which is convenient if you need to go somewhere. Also it is close by some museums.
Room is basic but fine, front office pretty inflexible but friendly. Got a few eateries around which allows you to have some typical singapore food any time of the day and night.

The stay was most enjoyable. The close location to lots of eating houses and shopping were a highlight. Having the subway nearby made it very easy to get around. The pool was excellent to sit beside after a long hot day. A bar in the pool area would have been even better. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay.

cheaper for Singapore and location

I found this hotel is OK in terms of price and hotel standard. But I was given a lower floor room on the first night. The room is a bit unpleasant, there are ant-like insects moving around in the room (washing basin, window and even on beds). I requested to change room on the second day. The room on the 4th floor is much better.

This hotel is of a quite good location. The rooms are quite small. The internet is not always available. It offers good location in Orchard area, convenient to exhibition and shopping places.

When we stayed at the hotel, the Soccer World Cup had begun, but we couldn't watch the game in the room, that disappointed us. Since location of the hotel is excellent, we had a good vacation with all family members.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is better for the hotel if they have shuttle bus to interesting places such as Universal Studio, Science Center, the airport

Hotel Bencoolen Singapore
Strategic hotel location, close to tourist attraction.

Bencoolen Hotel located at very strategic location near to Suntec City which can reached Singapore Flyer in about 10 minutes time. It is also not far away from Orchard Road and Universal Studio (one of the most hottest tourist attraction recently), thus help to minimize travelling duration to reach most of the hottest tourist attractions in Singapore.
But Hotel Bencoolen had very small Cafe outside hotel lobby which served tasteless foods. Other than this, everything is just fine to stay.
