Quiet & peaceful location

Location is near central, yet good that it in a peaceful & quiet district. Service is OK, but it is a pity that they do not have any swimming pool. Room is small very clean. Lovely park just across the hotel.

The facilities are wonderful & service was excellent. Room was comfortably sized and the view is beautiful from the room, lots of greenery. Ordered room service for dinner and the food was priced reasonably and portions are decent. Complimentary mini bar was a plus & TV channels were plentiful. Will definitely return.
Restaurant Tip:
Red Star restaurant at Chin Swee Road for dim sum.

nice stay but just the hotel location is on top of a hill but the hotel does provide shuttle bus and the mrt station can be reached via walking.

Small Rooms, Limited amenities, bad location

The hotel offers horrible view, in a very off-road and hard to reach street, and not possible to walk to Chinatown or other shopping. Taxi access is by call-in only. The rooms are VERY small, but clean. The hotel basically shuts down at 10pm, which means no room service, not food after 10pm. it is ok place if you are a hermit and you dont want to go out and you want to sleep by 930pm.

Overall, our 4-day stay was good. The lobby restaurant has consistent food quality, the rooms are orderly and generally well-kept. For a four-star hotel though, the service level is not what you'd expect, and the lobby design and concept probably not what you'd want from a four-star hotel.

Funky hotel with cool in room amenities!

the first room we were given was completely unmade. we had to go down to the front desk to get the room changed. the front desk offered us an upgrade to an executive room. on the whole, we had a very nice time staying at the hotel. our package came with free breakfast which wasn't too bad, decent variety. the only drawback about this hotel is the location, it is really out of the way.

Pleasant quiet hotel close to a nice park.

I like this place because of the room art deco original design. It is also quiet and the proximity to the large park on a hill behind is pleasant. Still walking close to river valley area (10 min).

all else aside, the sink was blocked which caused flooding, excessive wetness, and general discomfort. These things happen, but I'm displeased that the hotel did not offer a form of compensation for it.

The staff made a mistake by giving us a room that is used by another guest. When we opened the door, there is luggage inside the room. After that, i needed to go down to the reception to make a request for another room.
