OK hotel
good air-conditioning on level 16, spacious room.

The hotel is going through renovations, and level 16 (where I stayed) was good, with good blasting air-con and spacious.
Travel tip:
Ask for level 16. Water pressure is low though. $30 per day for Wifi. Business center is non-existent, with faulty printer. Laundry is ok, use your own soap but dryer was very bad. Paid $15 and still could not dry all the clothes.

Average hotel with good location

Our initial 3 rooms were old (think abt the 80s), but because the air-con broke down, they moved us to the 16th floor with refurbished rooms, good air-conditioning new beds. It is located close to United Sq (baby shopping) and Novena Velocity, & Sq 2. 10 minutes walking distance to MRT/Velocity. What I didn't like, apart from being on 11th floor old room were the water pressure. It's either they installed water saving showers or the water pressure was too low being on 16th floor. Room was quite spacious, compared to the other hotel we stayed at with similar pricing. Breakfast was low end of ok. Building is old and there are lots of tour companies coming to this hotel. At times we have to wait for a 100+ queue to get to lift. All students from Japan etc coming along. The hotel should have a system whereby tour companies take 2 of the 3 lifts available.
You have to pay #30 for daily internet use in your room. The advertised Business centre was very poor. Who uses CRT screens these days? Printer and scanner were faulty as well.
Laundry was ok, $6 per cycle but dryer was appaling, $6 per cycle of 42 minutes. I spent more than $16, 2 hours and clothes still would not dry. Expensive "extra's". Despite what i wrote, air-con and bed were two good things about this hotel, 16th floor. (i'm not sure which other floors had rooms renovated. I was told the hotel is renovating the rooms floor by floor)
Hotel Feature Tip:
Ask for 16th floor, new rooms with good air-conditioning. Low water pressure though.

I was happily supprised with the hotel, the decour was slightly dated but clean, the hotel is aimed at the asian clients but meet my western needs as good as most other hotels in Singapore
Location is good close to large shopping center, 4 star rating may be slightly overstated but only really due to dated fixtures and fittings

I must say very bad service. The hotel treats customers as secondary. Point No 1, second they are just waiting to ask money money money, even if you have already paid. I was so surprised with the attitude of the staff, seems like a hotel who is only bothered abnout extracting at least $ 100 per person some or the other way. Very bad and i would not recommend this to anyone. Most important had preponed my departure and left after 2 nights the hotel management refused to even talk about refunds and most importantly they didint even give me a final bill. In spoutre of the fact that i had paid for three nights, i was asked to sign a document saying room rent will be charged to my credit card. Useless and horrible hotel experience.
Travel tip:
Please never opt for this hotel even if some othert costs you an additional 100 $

This is a busy hotel and is good value for singapore.
as this was my second stay at hotel my check in was a lot quicker than my first time.The in house restaurant is good value and beers are only $7 a bottle.my room was a good sized room with all amenities in good order.Staff are friendly and very accurate with information.The karoke bar is somewhat pricey.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There are numerous buses in front of hotel entrance and orchard rd is about a 5 min trip,otherwise turn right from hotel and walk approx 5 mins to Novena MRT.another 2-3 mins walk to large Plaza.
