one thing i love about old hotel is room size. unlike those minimalist hotels nowadays, the room is spacious. unfortunately, this hotel really need renovation badly. the drainage was not working properly. the room was gloomy and humid, and you can see the furniture werr dusty. however, the staff are nice and friendly. and the location is superb. it is a pity that such a wonderful property is being neglected.

Nice enough hotel. Lot's of restaurants
6.7
The hotel is nice enough and the deluxe room was really big. The bathroom was very spacious and had a shower and a bath.
I had messed up my booking and the hotel was very helpful (agoda were less easy to deal with). The staff are friendly but the service is lacking a bit. Just little things really. I was out from 7am till 5:30pm and my room hadn't been cleaned and after along day I didn't want them to do it in the evening.
While the room was good value everything else in the hotel is very pricy. $4.50 for a can of coke seemed expensive and internet costs about $25 per night.
Not quite sure what the deal is with the bar downstairs. There are lot's of girls in there wearing evening gowns and singing songs. Seemed strange....
Also the air con was rubbish

great location..good price but some rooms run down
price was reasonable for a clean modern hotel. convenient for food, transport n shopping.
5.7
hotel staff needs training;general apathetic attitude. we booked for2 nights n checked in very late at night n complained abt the air con not functioning. staff said to wait, it wld cool down. we complained that the keycard-holder came off, lights could not be switched off...the tap of the shower came off...they said wait, someone will come n fix it.
no body came n we spent the night in a stuffy, either brightly lit or pitch dark room. the next morning we asked for a change of room. reluctantly we were moved to an executive suite in which conditions were acceptable---aircon worked, nothing was spoilt n 4 pillows instead of 2 were given; in the first room, no floor mat in the bathroom n no face or small towels were provided---budget hotel? the hotel wifi never worked.
Shopping Tip:
if u r going to the premium c3entre, take the bus. taxi cost RM100 or more for a return trip.

Recently Renovated Old Hotel
Large room and near shopping centres and eating places
7
The hotel lobby didn't give you a feel that it is that old hotel. Things have been spruced up since the last time I visited it many years ago.
The room was large, easily can put in another queensize bed. Bathroom amenities were sufficient. The t.v. channels were many but did not have National Geographic. Free bottled water provided but nothing was in the fridge.
All in all, good value for money for short staty if you don't mind not so modern decor and the matteress was a little hard. Time to change. And ask for room without connecting door to other room becuase the sound proof was very poor. Could hear the other guests talking the whole night.

Average hotel for the price
8
We check very late, around 10pm. The front desk is only one lady to serve the customer. Although the other staff notice us, they still ask us waiting for the lady.
We have to waiting until the lady heck in for the other 2 customer. This is not what should this level's hotel serve the customer. Specially in the late night.
The rest is average.

Archaic Chinese looking but pricey hotel
5.3
Personally, I dislike the receptionist for using informal gesture during the checking in process. Simply put, the receptionist was quite rude.
The hotel looks rather in Chinese style and few receptionists can only speak Chinese (bit of English), so for Chinese speaker, this might be a quite good one.
I found the price of the stuffs is pricey, as I went to the vending machine and found out that the small coke costed me $2, for such self-service.
The interior was rather old and not organised. There was a nice gym though, but the corridor and the laundry place was creepy. The elevator was shaking a lot. The price for a room is also cossiderably expensive.
