Very good location for the first time traveller to singapore. Close to many shopping centers , restaurants and even dentists [ which came in very handy during my visit ] Slow reception at Hotel Royal due to incorrect print out on my behalf. but all staff courteous and friendly . Lovely swimming pool ,that is well maintained clean ,accessible in all weather conditions.
Nightlife Tip:
best bar on the planet holds pleasnt surprises for lonely traveller

Reception is good, hotel is more for relaxation.

Room service was terrible! The cafe's service was not as good as expected. Slow and food not that tasty. Swimming pool was very deserted due to the location. If you don't expect too much, it's a comfy place to stay just for a short get-a-way relaxation.

it is located at good location which near mrt, bus stop and orchard. it has direct bus to chinatown and orchard. the food is limited so we go to the shopping mall nearby for food. the room is big and double time of those new hotel.

Great location because is very near in the malls, but the amenities was no good the business center and the computer was very slow it takes 10 minutes to opened the website it should be high tech because of the technology now. The restaurant was good the food was great. But the staff is no good no one knows how to greet their guest their working in the hospitality industry that's the first thing they should learned need more training. The size of the hotel is very well but the toilet need to clean.

The location is fantastic but the room condition need to be refurbished. The front desk staffs are friendly too. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends as the location of the hotel is really convenient. We can take buses from the bus stop right in front of the hotel to many tourist areas such as Orchard Road. The only set back is the room condition really need to be refurbished.

The Hotel held tickets for us for a few days, The greeting was friendly and Genuine, the hotel is very clean, all modern amenities and we had a great stay. Highlights for us were the staff and the ease in which any request was answered. Nothing seemed too hard for them.

Everything is very much "so so". The hotel location is quite good and close to Novena MRT station. I did not have facilities to print out my booking confirm and the receptionist still insisted on it although they could easily find my booking in their computer??? In fact, the girl say PK but the man still say "can not"???
Anyway I was staying only Mar. 26, 29, 30th => not much to say.
Travel tip:
If you prefer shopping trip and center location, YWCA seems better. This Royal hotel takes more than 15min. by taxi to get to Orchard Road.
