We book this hotel during CommuniAsia period so we pay pretty high price. The hotel is aging and service level has been declining. An unpleasant experience for me and my guest. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Big room and clean environment

the deluxe room is spacious and comfortable, but more importantly despite being an old hotel, the hotelier has kept overall environment tidy and clean. the hotel is conveniently located with mrt and shopping areas, as well as food being easily accessible, just within 10 minutes walking distance. don’t mind going back

Friendly and very clean place

I booked this room for colleague of mine. Overall he enjoyed the stay, because the staffs were friendly place is well upkeep. The part that he was fond of most, was the gym opening hours from 5am-10pm. He couldn’t sleep though that night of stay, but instead he had the pleasure to do some work out at 5:30am

do not stay here!!
poor service, located away from tourist area,

mix up with booking and the receptionist did not process our details correctly so we were woken at 0700 the following morning and asked to reprocess everything even though we were booking out!! there were 5 other people at the desk with complaints when we were arrived. staff were slow to respond and fix any of the problems. most staff spoke poor English.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
the MRT at Novena is about 5 mins away and is easy to access most tourist attractions.

the hotel was centrally located, easily accessible and great value for the competitive price. the overall experience was good. had a feeling that it was segmented to a specific market. front desk staff were helpful and friendly. for the big family group, the housekeeping was accommodating and helpful. maybe because it was an old hotel, some estate services did not function properly (our first room's aircon did not work!). there was an incident with one particular staff at the cashier, who (always) had an awful face, did not make eye-contact and wasn't showing any sense of hospitality. i recommend her some training. being singapore (as opposed to a village!!!), she should realize that her guests could come from any market, any ethnic background, race and gender. she should therefore adopt a global mind-set and be a little bit more sensitive. minus the incident, all in all, it was a comfortable 3 night’s stay. spacious rooms, aesthetic lobby and plenty of parking spaces.
Shopping Tip:
A big Shopping Mall with a number of branded stores and food outlets is within walking distance.

i am always surprised when i visit a singapore hotel to find that bedsheets and pillow cases are changed daily. but i guess this is standard precedure in singapore. it certainly is not in other parts of the world.
Travel tip:
we chose this hotel because it is closest to the home of our son and his family who live in singapore. (it is one of the hotels farthest north in singapore. all of the hotels are in the south of the island.)

Nice Hotel to stay with big rooms & good service!
i liked their rooms, it's big & clean. location is ok also, it is near orchard road.

i will recommend this hotel to other tourist & guest. price of the room per night is affordable. their room is good enough if you have kids, they can easily move because the space is wide and the room is clean also, including the comfort room. on our next visit to singapore i will probably stay here again.
