ibis is good value for money. the room is clean and newly furnished. it is not extravagant, but the important basics are well equipped (comfortable bed, nice shower, cable tv, free wifi). the design actually is modern. in this regard, they don't scrimp. the staff are well trained and friendly, and ibis does pride itself for great customer service, and it shows from reception, to concierge, to cleaning staff. location is also right next to bugis street and hawker center. although it is not right next to subway, it is just a 10 mins. walk through fascinating bugis street. check out was quick (you just drop off your keys).vs. western run hotels, ibis is the best value for money. they have an interesting restaurant that offers a sampler of all great food in singapore, although i didn't have time to try it.
Restaurant Tip:
Have breakfast, lunch or dinner at nearby hawker center. Cheap, lots of choices, authentic and delicious, although very hot (no aircon!).

we enjoyed our 3 days in ibis bencoolen, taxies standby by the parking lobby, 7-11 nearby.
too bad there was no espn channel to watch premier league.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
dont forget to watch laser show at mbs, take mrt and drop off at bayfront. quite entertaining..

Great location but small room

we selected this hotel because we want to visit bugis, and the location of the hotel doesn't dissapoint us, it is very near to bugis mrt station, and there are direct mrt from changi airport to bugis mrt, reach within 30min. the room is very small, and with basic facilities only, but that are all we need for simple one night stay in singapore. definitely will choose this hotel again if i visit bugis in the future.

We enjoyed every night we stayed in this hotel. It is close to many shops, restaurants and nightlife. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would choose it again if I had to revisit Singapore.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk to sim lim square, bugis junction and bugis street market that open till late.
Clean and safe as public area is only the hotel lobby, the staff are helpful, leave your luggage after checking out and pick it up again on the way to airport
Restaurant Tip:
book the room without breakfast since there are lots of choices offoods around the hotel.
