Standard hotel, small room
Good value, professional service
7.3
We stayed three nights. The room was somewhat small, but good value for Singapore. The location wasn't bad, but it was a bit of a walk to the subway station. Breakfast was not included and was expensive for a standard meal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Singapore Zoo is one of the best in the world. If you can get there early you can have breakfast with orangutans.

Tidy room service with a smile
Big comfy bed, nice shower gel, clean clean rooms
6.7
After some persuasion the manager gave me complimentary breakfast for two of the three nights I stayed, partly because breakfast was expensive.
Restaurant Tip:
Imperial Treasure at Ann Ngee City is a great Chinese Restaurant!!

ibis singapore on bencoolen hotel is just fantastic.. the room is big enough and the service is good. the location is perfect for business and pleasure as it is near the city and a few big shopping malls. it is also close to the mrt station so it is not a problem if you will be travelling around and will use public transport.

Great locations with lovely service
Very near to the town centre, easy to meeting up with people, the service is good
8.3
the room is relatively big for one person. love the service, everyone greet with smile, concierge help with the estimation time and cost to reach certain place, even the bartender at the bar provide good service in terms of making drinks and chit-chat with customers. i like the menu for dinner, small portion but we can choose the variety of 3,4 or 5.
not particularly fancy with the structure of the room, especially with the kettle, because we have to bend to reach it - hence, i place mine on the table instead in the drawer. slippers and bathrobes are not provided.
Shopping Tip:
bugis street/junction is only 5-10 mins walk away from the hotel, a good place to do some shopping for souvenirs, or to just look around and see what is available from a southeast asian country.
there is a very delicious tom yam stall across the hotel, just opposite the sim lim square.

great location, clean, confortable, helpful staff
location, cleanliness, confortable, wifi
9.7
great hotel with a great location. mrt is a 5-10-min walk which is very interesting as it takes you through the street markets... the hotel includes wifi, which is greatly appreciated as free wifi does not exist in singapore.
Hotel Feature Tip:
on your last day if you need to go to changi airport, you can book and use the shuttle bus for $9, or you can buy a mrt day pass for $8, use it to visit the city during the day and go to the airport afterwards...

Budget hotel at a great location
sightseeing sites all round, food and nightlife options close by
8
Budget hotel in terms of amenities, but location itself is worth the lack of creature comfort. Again, an expressed lack of toiletries (you need to call and request for them, at a cost i remember), but i reckon you'll be out of the property soon enough to explore the eclectic diaspora of cultures mishmashed into a small enclave of land.
and i note a rather good bar at the lobby so you can rest your tired happy heels and toss a few at the end of the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The famous Si Ma Lu Guanyin Buddhist Temple (apparently the only building left intact in an area bombing during WWII) is just across the pick up point of the hotel. so save some time and energy finding it on map and just schlepp over like a local.
