The location is excellent! Only a few minutes walk to the subway station, which is a very cheap way to get around Singapore!

With its location I think its a really good hotel. Just outside the city center and only a few minutes walk to the subway station which is a very good, easy and cheap way to travel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly under our staying. The rooms were pretty big and we had a room on the 15th floor with a view over Singapore City! Overall I would recommend this hotel to other travelers to Singapore!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Night Safari in Singapore is a must!

Near MRT

Many of the stores of level B1 seems closed

This hotel is located near Bugis MRT station; that is why I like the hotel. You can go almost anywhere through the MRT. Their service is ok. Some staffs can speak Chinese. My room (deluxe type) is clean and has a good view over the city. I didn't have their food.

I stayed in this Hotel in October 2008 in twin standard room. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and the size was spacious. Only corridor carpets can be cleaner. Hotel have nice, big swimming pool with opposite Indian Tandoori Restaurant. Staff was ok and friendly. I recommend stay at this 3 star hotel. Good value for money.

Location

It was difficult to find Hotel entrance among shops on ground floor.

When I was preparing to travel, I read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel. I am glad, it was not so bad. Hotel is not new, but our standard room in 11-th floor was comfortable, clean, has all necessary. Thank the manager on reception for early check-in! Check-out was quickly and staff in luggage-room helpful. I can not say about food in hotel, we did not have it. MRT station is very close to hotel – we used MRT all times. I can recommend this hotel to travellers who have not enough time and wish to look much in Singapore.

Good location and a reasonable price for the Formula 1 race. Two blocks from Bugis MRT.

The hotel is 70's inspired. No recent updates. The chair in our room was broken and we requested a replacement. We were given a wooden chair with a fabric cover for the week. We had to call down twice for maid service. At 4pm we had not received it! We also had a broken lamp in the room which was repaired and replaced 2 days later.

I would think twice before staying there again. Cleaning staff cleaned our room nicely, but failed to do so on 2 occasions. The location was good, quick walk to the MRT and close to Bugis Junction. The staff were pleasant, but not that helpful.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 2 blocks from Bugis MRT and great shopping and food within 10 min walk!

Location, Cleanliness, Friendly and helpful staff.

Air conditioning in the actual rooms was far too cold and the thermostat in there did not seem to do anything at all.

This hotel is situated near to Bugis Village and Little India which are only a few minutes walk. Everything else that you require is not much further than a 15 minute walk, which for shopping, is very handy. It's a very clean hotel and well equipped rooms with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Extremely good value for money.

- Prompt service and responsive staff even when full (during the Formula 1 weekend). - Value for Money. - Location. - Executive floor & newspaper were nice touches.

- The cleaning staff occasionally missed a thorough scrubbing of the bathroom/toilet.

I was gently surprised to see I got a pretty roomy accommodation with a (requested) king-size bed (yes, I do slide around quite a bit when asleep). The breakfast (albeit a bit simple, but nonetheless varied) at the 18F Executive Floor, plus cold drinks in the afternoon, made the stay even better value. Walking around Arab Street and the adjacent areas was something new for me, having been weaned staying in Chinatown/Orchard Road. The numerous street side stalls, Bugis Street and proximity to Sim Lim Square made walking around much more fun than I ever expected. This plus the fact that I could walk back from Gates 1/1A of the racetrack made watching the Grand Prix even more fun, even if the results were horrible (if you were a Ferrari fan that is). There were simply too many people going to the shuttles at the end of race day making waiting quite unbearable! All in all, the hotel was a clean place to stay in, never getting in the way coming back for that much needed rest or stepping out to go around (there was a Luxury Travels office right at the lobby, so taking a quick tour on the spur of the moment was very easy -> thanks to Doreen for all her help!). Recommended, especially the Executive Rooms.

Hotel Feature Tip : When it's raining, take the bridge way from the hotel lobby through the shopping center over to Raffles Hospital. By walking through the hospital lobby and the adjacent cafeteria, you reduce the distance you need to walk to get to the Bugis MRT station to around 100m of open space.

Walking distance to Bugis MRT. Reasonably price upgrade to Executive Floor.

None

Hotel is within walking distance of Bugis MRT which is a quick $2.50 ride from Changi Airport on clean and air conditioned trains. At check in there is an upgrade. The upgrade to the Executive Floor includes complimentary internet access, breakfast and evening "happy hour" beverages. The package is competitively priced. A request for a mid afternoon was quickly accommodated after purchasing the upgrade. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping centers and reasonably priced food outlets. The rooms are old however they are clean and quiet.

Proximity to Arab street and Bugis station.

The bed is a bit hard.

This was our 2nd time at Golden Landmark. The price was tolerable given the fact that we booked during SG's 1st F1 race. I love that it is very near Arab street and the quaint Kopi Tiams a kampong glam. it's also about 7 mins slow walk to Bugis station. Staff was very friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's very very near kampong glam/Arab street.

Location, very close to Bugis MRT & Bugis shopping area. Price, Golden Landmark offers reasonable price in Peak season. Service, their staff are very friendly.

Cleanness, maybe Golden Landmark can improve to be more clean than it has been.

I like Golden Landmark because of its location that is very close to Bugis MRT and shopping area. Golden Landmark also has friendly and helpful staff which adds extra point. I went on Peak season 26 Sep 08 when F1 is happening in Singapore but Golden Landmark offer a very good price. The other hotels with the same standard offer more at the same time. So overall, I'm satisfied with my stay in Golden Landmark.

Location and service are top

Bathroom needs renovation

The nearby MRT is just a few minutes walk. Shopping areas available round the hotel. The room is comfortabel with a big surface for living. The bathroom is bad and not clean, especially the toilet needs renovation. Every day a journal hanging on the door. The girls of the reception are willing and very gently for helping us with several questions.

Great location, effient desk staff, good value

Grubby carpet and hallway walls. Safe in room not working, called to fix but no one came. Breakfast not included.

Golden Landmark was a well priced hotel in an excellent location, close to MRT and within walking distance to Arab Street and Bugis Junction. The hotel desk staff were excellent, very efficient and helpful. Only complaint was that the safe did not work in the room. After calling to have it fixed (only a new battery was required) we heard no more. Not a real issue, just meant I had to carry the passports etc. with me.The price was reasonable compared to other Singapore hotels in the area, only complaint was that breakfast was not included. Luckily tea and coffee facilities were provided. Our room was clean and comfortable but I was dissapointed that the window was very tiny so no natural light came into the room. Overall a good hotel and I would stay again if in Singapore.

Restaurant Tip : Bugis Junction Shopping centre is very close. We chose to eat there most days as the food was varied and of excellent quality. Prices were very good, around $5.00 SIN per meal - unbeatable!

Location Location Location

The mall that the hotel attach to really doesn't have much to offer.

Hotel is located in an excellent location in Burgis. Close to Little India, train station, and mall all within 2 blocks. The rooms are clean and the size is good. Internet is a little pricey at 5 Singapore dollars. Around the vicinity of the hotel there are plenty of places to eat, shops, and transportation. Hotel staff was ok not the best and not the worst. Did not feel that they enjoy working there. Overall, it was a good experience.

Restaurant Tip : Pretty good food cafes right across the street in the hospital.
