This hotel is literally linked to the Marina Square Mall so it was very convenient when I wanted to get something to eat that wasn't hotel food. The staff is amazing, all very accommodating and friendly and never once came off as rude or in a hurry. Big rooms, well-lit and very comfy beds. The bathroom was excellent- clean, well stocked with a bath tub and separate shower.
Buffet breakfast was great except that on a full morning things can get pretty crowded.
Restaurant Tip:
After a long day of work. It'd be nice to make a reservation at the buffet section and relax a bit to enjoy some signature Singapore food.

the hotel is in a great location for those that need to access the cbd for business. in the mornings there was generally no taxi queue, and the commute only 5 mins. this is probably because the hotel is targetted more towards tourists. downside is the open atrium - while it looks beautiful, the rooms are on the smaller side (not ideal for long stays), and the music from the piano bar can be heard in your room (annoying if you want to sleep before 11pm on a week night).
note - extremely hard mattresses.
Restaurant Tip:
just a few minutes walk towards suntec, there is a little enclave of restaurants and bars hidden away from the main street. filled with many expats and tourists, but still retaining the quiet appeal of 'the local'. it's located just under the conrad.

most recent stay was 3 days in a club room on floor 21. the decor of club lounge is very pleasant with nice city view, good chairs, business facilities. but the snacks available, in comparison with other hotels, seemed rather basic and did not reflect the price paid for the room. one morning i had breakfast in the larger restaurant on floor 4 and gained a very poor impression of limited selection, many sections left unreplenished for long periods. i think i would seek another hotel in the same area next time rather than return to the mandarin.

Great location but the room isnt up to expectatio

the hotel is located near marina square, suntec and esplanade. thus it is convenient to settle you meal. excellent serivce especially those at the reception counter. the only thing that im not satisfied will be the room. it is not up to my expectation. room isnt as big as what i expected and the switch of the lighting has some problems. but overall, not a bad hotel!

I would only remark that for the premium price for a marina view ought to be more of the marina. My view was more of the mandarin oriental hotel than the marina. Also internet access oughta to be free at the premium rated marina-view rooms.
