Location is good, staff are friendly, lifts from street level to your rooms, 24 hour cafe with very good food.
Renovating the other wing during my stay so no outdoor pool was available.
This is a great choice if you're in Singapore for a short stay or for business. It is clean, smart and comfortable - not luxurious, but very good quality and excellent value for money.
Restaurant Tip : Chatterbox is famed for its Hainanese chicken rice. It is very good, but it's a lot of money for chicken rice if you know where to go (see here http://liaoyusheng.com/archives/food_drink/20061117_six_singapore_hainanese_chicken_rice_in_60_hours.php)

Convenience and good offer for upgrade to Club
It's a little bit difficulty to book thru internet when you have option to upgrade.
It would be better that we pay after we check-out not paying in advance due to the security of the credit card. We may give the credit card number to hold the booking guarantee. Anyway, it was a nice experience in Meritus Mandarin Hotel.

great location, enjoyed being in the heart of Orchard Rd, just in time for the Christmas street decor and lights, fascinating ! 1st class rooms and service.
Ground floor being upgraded, temporary lobby gets restricted at times. Best to walk or take subway.
The hotel is simply first rate and wonderful views of the city and lush greenery. Could not stop shopping as it easy to get around and back to hotel for a quick recharge.
Hotel Feature Tip : Close to public subway, very easy to get to anywhere in the city, saves you cab money for food and shopping.
