The hotel was a 5 star but lacked a lot of features of a basic 5 star hotel such as Massage parlor, convenience store. The pool was also under renovation while we were there. The price was reasonable for the particular area on Orchard Rd. in Singapore which is usually very expensive. The surronding area was another good feature since it is located right in the heart of the city.
Nightlife Tip : Orchard tower is only about 2 blocks away for any single guys looking at having a good time.

Location convenient for Shopping at Orchard Road
Current Chatter Box Menu limited due to ongoing renovation work
I Have always like to stay at mandarin at Orchard because of its strategic locations - so I assume the current limitation of the F&B menu of Chatter Box is temporaly
Shopping Tip : Takashimaya and Paragon as well the underpass tp Border Bookstore open till 11 pm during the week till midnight weekends

nice room with good service
still hv a renovetion works , the lift cannot direct to room , but hv to take 2 different lift in lobby
we love the Mandarin Htl strategic location , and the room is good too. all the way is shopping area..so u dont worry about having cafe , supermarket , restaurant or dept store price is reasonable for the central that we got. service not bad. what we dont like is about the lift , which is after shop alot u still need to change other lift in lobby...confusing..with condition a lot of guest in there...
