Liked that the staff was attentive - the room was prepared for a birthday celebration with a slice of cake even though it wasn't requested for, which was a nice gesture. Room and facilities were nice, however the breakfast spread was pretty limited.

my 2nd stay here. 1st stay was superb! 2nd stay was bit disappointing. Requested special birthday deco of room but received none. Were informed that birthday cake will send over to room by calling to reception but we received none after calling. Afterall, the hotel is good with big comfy room & super strategic location.

friendly staff, no problems while staying there. the room is a little bit small tho for a hotel with this price range. but very clean and new. located right next to 2 shopping malls and right across a hospital. thus, many guests stay there because of the hospital. easy access to the mall through the basement and a bridge to the hospital.

as this staycation was a combined valentine's day and birthday celebration, the hotel staff was very kind to surprise us with a slice of cake and a stalk of rose. however, i think an alternative without invading the privacy of the guests would be to leave any gift in the room before the guests check-in, so that the guests can be surprised upon entering the room, rather than to have staff knocking at the door at night, suddenly to present a slice of cake and entering the room to put down the cake. might be a little inappropriate or untimely. thoughtful effort nonetheless.

Great Location & Relatively New Hotel

pluses:
- only 2 station away from orchard
- direct access to mrt station
- the hotel is still brand new so everything's in latest trend (furniture &electronics,etc)
- easy check in & check out
- room decoration modern minimalist
- for deluxe room, there is a coffee machine (which rarely seen in other hotel)
minuses:
- got problem with the key card couple of times
- found a stain on the linen
- the wall is pretty thin, even a normal laugh from the next room can be heard

Convenient for visitors, but not for a staycation

On the positive side:
Very personalize and professional front desk. The lady who checked us in was very nice. Housekeeping staff didnt even dare to use doorbell when the room's DND light was on. Called on phone instead.
The pullout drawer for the in-room safe and auto window blinds were great features. Nice choice of organic tea bags too.
On the negative:
Vanity top in bath lacks space. Had difficulties putting a toiletries bag on it. Toiletries rack in shower was not designed for the hotel's supplies. The holes were too huge to hold the small bottles.
There was no bathroom rug. Hopefully it was just overlooked cause it would a real slag for an important basic necessity. Facial tissue ran out shortly after check in too.
Pillows were super hard. Not sure if there would have been options cause no label on them. We were not using the pillows much through bedtime.
The lighting system is not too user-friendly. The bedside table & switches were a little low and hard to reach. The switch to the room's light also switches off the toilet light. And because the bathroom is separated only by a frosted glass from the bed, you either can't switch on any lights when using the toilet in the middle of the night to avoid waking up your room mate, or risk having the bathroom light flood the whole room.
Also insufficient area to hang bath towels to dry when the hotel is promoting conservation of water.
Aircon controls made little difference. it was hot under the sheets even at coolest setting point.
complementary parking card issuing system needs some looking into. Can be further improved.
Didnt have time to check out the swimming pool & gym as that floor was not accessible without a room keycard after checking out.
Didnt like the feeling of having to access the hotel via a medical centre lift lobby.
