Rooms are starting to feel the age of the hotel This hotel is an excellent choice if you wish to have central location wrt shopping. Staff very helpful, rooms are nice but starting to get old. I was only a one night customer, and needed efficiency both with check in and check out, and got what I searched for. Excellent stay and good value for the money

I probably had my most relaxing sleep that night. The bed was heavenly, the pillows soft and the air conditioning was efficient and silent. the buffet breakfast selection can stand improvement. there were no breakfast mainstays such as corned beef/hash and beef hotdogs. Overall, I would rate the hotel the five stars that it is. The staff members are courteous and attentive without the guests feeling any invasion of privacy. The hallways are clean, the room comfortable, the beddings perfect. I would love to stay at the Orchard Hotel again next time I visit Singapore, and would recommend it to friends and relatives.

The rooms were very nice.I really liked that it was very clean no stench of cigarettes or other nasty scents. The staff were extra helpful and polite. I guess the best thing about it which helped me a lot was the fact that they have a room called the hospitality room, which the hotel provides even when you already checked out. So you can take a shower, and clean up before your flight. The malls are also on the same street so it's very convenient! I didn't like the area at night because it's in the red light district. I don't like it. The hotel was also quite far from the MRT because its located on the end of the street. In general, I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. I didn't experience anything that would deter me from recommending it to other people or actually booking a stay again. I really commend the staff from their politeness and helpfulness. I also like the fact that its really near places to eat. There are also convenience stores like 7/11 around and a 24 hour Mc Donalds right across the street. So it's really a good place to stay in especially if you like hotels that are really clean.
Restaurant Tip : Use the back entrance to go to the main road, it's a much shorter walk. You can access this entrance on the lobby near the escalator. If you want cheap but good hainanese chicken,go to the building right beside it there's a food court that serves chicken rice and soup for 3.80 Singaporean Dollars.

The food was great breakfast and dinner buffet have a lot of varieties,also the hotel is close to everything close to local supermarkets and transportation and shopping. Room is a little bit small. This hotel is the perfect location, being on the main street of Singapore for tourists and business travelers, with all the shops one could wish for. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly and is an ideal hotel for touring Singapore from. Our room was just the right size, however the views could have been better.

close to all the action , both shopping and entertainment Hotel needs some upgrading in the rooms The Orchard hotel is centrally located to visit the shops, restaurants and entertainment venues on Orchard Road. If you like the nightlife it is right across the road from all the bars in Orchard Towers, and various pubs are just around the corner. All in all, this is a very good value hotel, and I will stay there again

Location, service, cleanliness of room Great stay here.. I was upgraded on arrival to an executive room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location of the hotel is fantastic near all the shopping centres on Orchard Road. Only stayed for 1 night but wish I could have stayed longer. Would definitely visit again

Location is perfect, I think of all the hotels in Singapore we have stayed this is the best. Pool was nice, and the breakfast was also very good. We enjoyed this hotel a lot and will stay there next time as well. Check in took a little too long - that was the only problem we had. Hotel is actually 4 star, not 5 star. This is a great hotel for families who want to see Orchard road and also want to relax by the pool. We were able to take our young daughter shopping with us without tiring here from long walks and taxis, and she really enjoyed the pool afterwards. Highly recommended. Right next to the Thai embassy for those who have visa requirements to be performed

Courteous and friendly staff (on the most part)clean The place is showing its age I mainly used the place to get to an from work. It is well served with Taxi service but not the most convienent if one wanted to use the MRT (Subway) service. The service was good. Some of the building was showing its age... probably a early 90's refurb. Did not use the facilities. No time!

location, swimming pool, fitness, cleaningless, value service can be a bit unfriendly and certainly not up to a 5 stars standard I go every 3 months to Singapore, and Orchard hotel is definitely the best value in town as far as I know. If my budget would allow, I would certainly go to a higher class hotel, because of the service that can be quite unfriendly. Beside that, everything is quite efficient, clean, and the huge swimming pool is definitely a plus. The location is the best, at the end of Orchard Road.
Pubs, Subways, shops, can even been accesses within going outside.
Restaurant Tip : order your food at the pool side. Much cheaper than in-room service with great tasty food and the joy to be outside. Opened until 8 pm.

It's very close to orchard.
Breakfast has a lot of variety, western, indian,indnesian etc.
Workers attitude towards their customers require more hospitality, but considering the price, they are acceptable. I used this hotel for 1 night stopover on the way from Japan to Europe. I informed them by e-mail in advance about my late arrival, (past 2am in the morning) and asked for late check-out for the following day. Their response was really quick and they kindly arranged late check-out until 3pm without charge. That was a great help.
Shopping Tip : It's about 5 minutes walk to Orchard shopping area, very good location for shoppers.

Good hotel with clean rooms close to shopping and transport and the local supermarkets so you can buy water as the water bottle is around 16$ at the hotel,internet also in not cheap 28$ per day so you can find internet cafes around the hotel the food was great and the staff was very helpfull they gave me my room early check in as i arrived to the hotel almost at 7am.
Shopping Tip : Try OG store it is one of the best with a good prices they have everything it is located on orchard rd

Great location, clean neat tidy, safe and value for money We enjoyed a terrific, albeit short stay at the Orchard Hotel, with very friendly staff, a room that was clean, location was great and we felt safe. There were no issues for us at all and would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone for either a buisness or pleasure stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the concierge was able to give us sone good ideas given we were only in Singapore for one night. We would definitely stay there again and feel I don't need to search the internet to look at alternative venues anymore.
Nightlife Tip : Shopping is at your doorstep with Orchard Road and Clarke Quay entertainment precinct is a $6 SGD taxi ride away.

A well located hotel with excellent service. Due to the Gran Prix I was upgraded to the esecutive floor - unfortunately to a very small room. I requested a change which was carried out with no fuss plus a free bottle of wine. I rate the exective club as one of the best the staff ar evry personal and charming rememberig your name and attending to all requests.
