the lobby was very nice, the front desk very professional. the hotel's room is very clean and have the oriental look. the size of the room is standard. pretty comfy for 2 person. the best thing about the hotel is that it's located near orchard's mall,so when we want to shop in singapore, orchard hotel is definetely the place to stay at.
Restaurant Tip:
At the building next door has a lot of varieties of food with a reasonable price.

The hotel was very cosy and clean. The help desk was extremely supportive and arranged and gave us guidance for travelling tips in Singapore. Staff at the restaurant were very pleasant and the environment created a homely stay. More restaurants within the hotel should be explored especially to cater for the number of residents that frequent the hotel although it is also convenient to go to the restaurants on the outside of the hotel or the fast food shops adjoining the hotel with direct access to the shopping centre adjacent to the hotel. A convenient seven eleven store is within 100metres from the hotel and a variety of designer shops are in Orchard main road at the hotels convenience. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk in Orchard Main Road.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I was in Singapore on new years eve on orchard street and was extremely disappointed with the lack of interest. Visit the Marina Bay Sands celebration instead but you will need to take a taxi back to the hotel as the train ticket is only valid until 24h00.

the hotel lobby is nice. check in was good but there was not enough staff during peak period ( like new year ).
room was big and nice although we had to wait for about one hour before we could get our rooms. there was no coffee mugs in the rooms. staff are quite friendly and helpful. the free shuttle bus service to sentosa island resort was very convenient.
overall i would give it 4 star rating.

I had a nice experience with my stay in this hotel, the rooms are modern and new. The location is very near the shopping malls. It serves good food too . Over all I will recommend this to my friends. My only complain is the cleaning staff in the rooms are not that clean in cleaning my room.

i upgraded to an executive club room from a superior room and was impressed by the great service at the executive club floor.

upon arrival by cab, the conciege on duty (i think his name is raymond)greeted us in a warm manner and made us felt welcome, especially my two children. during check in, the reception on duty noted that i have two young children (age 8 and 10) and suggested that we upgrade to a bigger room on the executive club floor. at additional sgd50 per night, it was great advice for a family of four, value for money and we really appreciate it. the service by the staff at the 17th floor lounge were great, they were warm and also accomodative to my two children.
my daughter was diagnosed with dengue fever and was hospitalized ten days earlier and so could not make the original date of 17th dec 2011 last minute. haslinda, assistant reservations manager, was great help in contacting agoda on our behalf for the last minute change of date to 29th dec. the food choice during breakfast was good, swimming pool large enough, gym came with sauna and there was a giant chess set for us to play at the pool area too (i really mean giant chess set; with the king and queen at 2 feet tall, we have to use two hands to move the bigger pieces, it was an experience!!!). the only negative point was that the stand lamp was spoilt and could not be immediately repaired.
Travel tip:
very convenient, within walking distance to most places we want to go at orchard road, including to shaw theatre for a night movie and walk back at midnight beyond mrt operational hours.

I always stay at the Orchard on my annual trip. It is so close to everything including the nightlife in Orchard Towers next door. Staying on the club floor allowed us to not have to put up with the breakfast crowds every morning on the ground floor. This is a busy hotel and christmas was no different.
I will continue to stay in this hotel over and over again.
